Official 2018 New York Football GIANTS Drive for 5 Thread

D can’t get off the field when it matters. Never make a big play.

6-10 written all over this squad.

Got to get OL in the draft next year.

Then somehow land a legit QB in 2020 to replace Eli.

Fingers crossed for Tua.

Need more than 1 OL IMO. This unit is no better than last year. They suck. And hopefully this front office can pick the right one. You can’t pick a complete lemon like Flowers in round ONE. Bad enough that we’ve botched so many 2-4th rounders over the years.

would like to know what the refs were doing on those 2 late killer calls.. first they pick a blocking down field flag where the WR was 2-3 yds down field. then they dont call the tackle in the endzone and the saints drive 95 to put the game away.. comical earlier when they all missed the clock running out in the 1st quarter..

I felt like the Giants sold out to stop Brees and the passing game which in turn let Kamara run all over them.

It almost worked, but man Eli looks like a shell of himself. The Saints defense has been awful the first 3 games and the Giants couldn't do much of anything. They have one of the best deep threats in the game and they dink and dunk all day long.

The schedule doesn't get any easier the next 3 weeks.

Saints bracketed OBJ and they just let Eli check down.
That was their problem. Saints just ran because the box was probably light and Brees isn’t an idiot if you are going to stop the pass he will run.
If the Saints don’t go 0 for 4 in the RZ in the first half it’s a bigger blowout.

Giants got a brutal starting schedule with Carolina, Atlanta, Philadelphia coming up.

The NFC East though appears to be a 10-6 or 11-5 winning record this year though.
They got the hardest divisions as their crosses this year AFC South and NFC South.

I think 9-7 wins it this year.

Likewise.

Giants can’t afford to have to deep a hole to climb out of.

Another game that was winnable.

Eli didn’t play particularly well either. We got some really shlity calls, but there were moments there for the taking.

You go to the games - is there truly nothing open or can he just not deliver it anymore?

The OL flat out has to be better. The only time a good run happens is when Barkley makes it happen on his own. There’s never any holes or easy yards.

Blitzes are killing us way too often. Dallas killed us with them. NO had some timely sacks off blitzes. And too many guys flat out get beat one on one. We can’t get anything going downfield. These losses have been pretty frustrating and boring to watch.

V the jags, he had nothing. No time and no open receivers.

Yesterday I thought he sailed a few on the sideline. With no Engram and no Latimer, they took OBJ and Shepard away up top and forced it all underneath. We couldn’t soften them up enough and when u force a QB to make the perfect read and throw every time, it’s just exhausting.

We can’t have that fumble either, nice tackle by Eli though.

They have to find a way to get 2 of the next 3.

So the Giants haven’t scored 30+ points game in game since January 2016?
Holy heck that is amazing.

Some anti-Eli butt-hurt guy came up with that after the 11-5 year to say they really sucked because they’d didn’t score this arbitrary magic # of 30 all year.

Then they sucked last year and it was trumpeted, now we hear it every week.

It’s a stupid talking point that is really annoying for sure.
