mdr, i guess you didn't get the memo: the 4>1 lesson is being moved to the history department
the current inequality lesson is $23.9M > $10.6M (conference payouts to SU vs UConn in 2016)
Shouldn't the Big East money already been gone when they split off into their own conference?Isn't UConn's payout going to drop significantly now that the BE money is done?

No. AAC is its own new conference. The Big East still exists in basketball.the AAC is the Big East
as an OG, UConn was still collecting exit fee buyout $
it gone

Big East football conference dissolved when Big East Basketball broke off into just a basketball conference.incorrect

So all of the teams that were in the FBS were left with nothing. No conference for either Basketball or football. They then had to create a NEW conference, the AAC, for both sports.
None of the teams in the AAC football conference exist in the Big East Basketball conference. Which is it owns seperate, basketball only conference.
Was that detailed enough of an explanation for you to get it yet?
The AAC is the corporate successor to the BE that we were members of. The AAC corporate structure and offices are in Providence.
The Big East is a brand new conference that purchased the name from the AAC.

I didn't intend any snark in my post. I was wrong.Wrong. Please see NKR1978's post. Next time, maybe hold the snark unless you're totally sure that you're not the one misunderstanding things
I think you guys lost sight of the point of this thread.

The Catholic 7+ basketball group kept the name (Big East), record book, and the MSG tournament, but they forfeited the exit money, which went to the AAC members.Shouldn't the Big East money already been gone when they split off into their own conference?
I feel like we are both right. The Catholic 7+ basketball group kept the name (Big East), record book, and the MSG tournament, but they forfeited the exit money, which went to the AAC members.

sportsartCollege Football has stage P5 cancer.
Okafor played 21 minutes vs Celts.
6 and 5 on a 3-4 shooting night.
Monday at 10:26 PM
Husky Dynasty, UConnDan97, Matrim55 and 1 other person like this.
Not bad, right? Except those were Jahlil Okafor’s numbers.
Now THAT is some unintentional hilarity.

Besides I don't consider Syracuse a northeast team. They are a Canadian team that plays in a dome like cowards. Play outside in the elements like a real man.
If Paul Pasq. and Bob Diaco never came to Storrs, UConn could be beating Clemson instead of barely beating Holy Cross.
