Wonder if Joey gets nominated for an award this year.

That was a fun game ..
Orangeville win 14 -13 in overtime
Joey 5g 3a
Trey 5g 1a ( stats say six and one, but he didn’t score the last goal)
The Northmen scored the winning goal in the first possession of overtime. Joey's 5th goal to make it 13-12 was what the announcer called an "ankle breaker" across the crease with multiple fakes. I hope they post the video of it.

The announcers said that the Toronto Beaches need to win their last 2 games. I assume to make the playoffs. Reminder, the Beaches were the best team in the league until they were penalized and forced to forfeit their first 8 games. Orangeville is now 14-2 and comfortably in first place.

Mimico's game tonight was postponed after the first period because of an unsafe playing surface in their home arena.

Laxfanshutt - I've noticed they've changed the official scoring for the game. It now shows Joey had 4g & 8a for 12 points. [I saw it mentioned in the IL article I'm posting below.] (Trey at 5g, 1a). Joey now has a total of 91 points in 12 games. The player ahead of him with 92 points did it in 16 games.

St. Catherine's scored a come from behind victory over the Orangeville Northmen 11-8, scoring the tying and winning goals in the last 1:50 and then scoring 2 empty net goals. Joey had 1g, 1a and Trey 1g, 2a.

Northmen win 13-10

Joey 4g, 4a
Trey 3g, 4a

The Toronto Beaches beat Mimico tonight 14-4. Finn had 1g, 2a.

In other OJLL news, the Ontario Lacrosse Association appeals committee appears to have set aside the forfeiture of 8 games by the Toronto Beaches. Further proceedings are to be held on the protest by Orangeville for Toronto using ineligble players. If Toronto gets the 8 games back they will be in first place with the Northmen in 2nd. There seems to be confusion though as to what happens now. If the further proceedings are to take place they have to happen very soon. The regular season ends next Wednesday. There is an article on this on InsideLacrosse.com.

Finn and Collison got into it.. along with Jordan Vincent…this was an ugly game.. or fun if you like fights.. lol…at one point Mimico had 4 guys in the ice box…don’t think these two teams like each other … game is on you tube if anyone wants to check it ou t

OJLL Standings: As of right now the OJLL standings still reflect the Toronto Beaches having forfeited their first 8 games. As of now, the Orangeville Northmen have locked up first place with a 15-3 record with 2 games to go (Monday & Wednesday). The Beaches are in 8th place with 1 game to go. If that holds the Northmen will play the Beaches in the first round of the OJLL playoffs. That would be a killer series. However, behind Toronto is Kitchener-Waterloo 2 points behind with 1 game left and Six Nations also 2 points behind but with 2 games left. If either of them end up in 8th place Toronto would be knocked out of the playoffs. The regular season ends on Wednesday. All subject of course to possible further hearings and action on the penalty to Toronto.

The Northmen beat Peterborough 13-12 in OT. Trey Deere scored the tying goal to send it to OT with 3 seconds left from an assist by Joey Spallina.

Joey 4g, 6a
Trey 5g, 4a

Donny Scott and Jake Spallina played key roles in the game.

[Maybe they should change the name of the team to the Orangeville Orangemen!]
