I'm not blaming the players.
Our offense is simple to defend, to put it mildly.
JB is running Battle, Frank and Oshae into the ground. I'll be shocked if one of them doesn't end up with an injury soon.

Goes both ways. It’s easy to defend and we’re limited in what we can do because of the players. We don’t have enough shooters, passers, ball handlers, depth or inside scorers(zero of those). Only so much you can do. They’ve gotta hustle and scrap and today they didn’t.
Missing shots is one thing, jogging back on defense and watching as their guy gets the game winning hoop simply by running hard is another.
Some players have it and some don’t. A player that would do that simply doesn’t have it. There’s no situational awareness. See dribbling in the middle of the court and getting it knocked away yet again for another example. See shooting the half courter a dribble too early.
I don’t think he intended to “give up” or “quit” or be lazy on the play, I think he simply lacks b-ball IQ/awareness and got caught in the moment watching.
On that note, I'd like to see Washington check into game when it's not due to a desperate situation. It might just turn out a little better40, 40 and 39.
Minutes for Battle, Frank and Oshae.
Not sustainable. These guys will never be able to finish a game strong.

We have 3 players that can score. That's it. They will play the whole game. Get used to itNo. They do not have to play the whole game.
There is a reason why it's just us with three P5 players in the top four of P5 MPG.
It's not normal.

this pretty much sums it upThere's no way I'm putting this on Frank.
OB was 3-15 from the floor. His anemic offense game after game after game is killing us. Marek and Moyer were 0-4 combined. Our rebounding was incomprehensibly bad by our big men.
They have a first round draft pick this year and another player that will be drafted in Oshae at some point.
You'll never have a perfect team in college.
Our coach is in the HoF. Figure it out.
They share equal blame on that playhes more to blame than howard. by far.
I watched it several times. Frank was closer and should have had that rebound. Likely would have gotten fouled over the back as well but we'll never know because he just stopped.
Battle's play was terrible as well. Should have gotten that ball. And never should have dropped it in the first place.
I frickin' hate the give it to Battle to end the game ISO all the way play. It sucks. And it's lost us two games in a row.
It's like, Joe Torre was an incredible manager. He just could not develop a bullpen. So he rode whoever it was he trusted into the ground. Season after season.Totally agree. Set him up for at least mild success and growth opportunity.
He hustled back to the foul line but stopped for some reason. I don't get it. Just can't happen. Discouraging is correct.
OB's offensive game is a work in progress. But he did have 11 rebs and was our only player getting any. There's no way I'm putting this on Frank.

No they don’t(IMO and in most projections I’ve seen). And O’Shea is not good yet. Wouldn’t start for any of our 2009-2017 teams. Neither would anyone else, except for Battle.
Least talented SU team I’ve seen in my lifetime and it’s not close. Way too young and the young guys are the types that should be good as Juniors-Seniors, but they’re not good now.
only reason i say marek is more to blame is because hes on the court to do the dirty work. hustle, dive, scratch and claw and play 100% on every possesion. frank is the pg and plays 40 minutes every game, i give him a pass.
dolezaj got some explaining to do.
How long have you been watching JB coach? He is going to play guys the entire game if he doesn't trust their backups. Mike G and Cooney never came off the floor a couple years ago eitherThree players don't all have to play at the same time. Mix up lineups. Get each guy a blow.
Not rocket science.

He didn't hustle. He sauntered back. Ive watched it a bunch of times. Jogging isn't hustling.
I rather not go for too long with only two players who can score. It is what it is, at least at this point in the season.Three players don't all have to play at the same time. Mix up lineups. Get each guy a blow.
