One of the worst

I guess I don't understand why you don't go with Carney if you are going to play a frosh. Then we bring him in for three snaps of redshirt burn without a chance to throw?

Or if were gonna run all night put Villari back there or teach willis to catch a snap and Fn run the ball. Wildcat with slants and Jet sweeps to recieviers the whole 9.

Yea embarrassing. But yet I wore my Angeli jersey for Halloween and handed out candy all night with the fam.

You know why cuz angeli will be back along with Calvin Russell and some solid youth pieces.

If they jump ship then yes we got problems but right now I see a coach that lost his team in another meaningless game.

My hot take is that our players aren’t stupid and they know Fran is on the phone with Penn St, Florida, FSU and even Clemson kids that are not feeling warm and fuzzy with their programs. And that’s with their QB1 and OL’s healthy and still getting beat.

Saying it right now in this era of college football get worried when the recruits start jumping ship. Right now Fran is already recruiting over the guys on the field cuz time this season is a bust which is why you see this mess.

No excuses for Fran this embarrassment is all on him. We hired a recruiter not a gameday coach. As long as the recruiting and portal trail stays hot for him though he’s got my confidence.

Because every QB on the roster sucks. They all suck. They’re terrible. So they’re careening from one to another like drunk sailors on leave. They have no plan because they are all awful.
Thing is, there's a guy on the roster that they went out and got, that came from a place where football is religion and that played a whole lot of football during his lifetime so far, that was an early enrollee for spring ball, that for some reason they hold to a higher standard than guys that have failed.

Whatever the reason is why they don't trust him, there's a failure on someone's part.

2.2 yards per pass tonight, that is...something
QBR of 1.9

To me, one of the biggest disappointments of this season will continue to be us absolutely wasting one of our most talented WR rooms since the Coach P Era. The below stat line can’t happen in Nixon’s offense, I don’t care who the QB is.

How quickly we forget the 2020 season...
Just out of curiosity I had to look back and we’re pretty much worse than the 2020 numbers since the Clemson game. Yes, it’s that bad. We’ve hit rock bottom.

(These don’t factor in offense vs. defensive scores, just the total points)

Offense
2020 - 265 YPG
Since Clemson - 257 YPG

2020 - 17.8 PPG
Since Clemson - 12 PPG

Defense
2020 - 464 YPG
Since Clemson - 419.2 YPG

2020 - 32.7 PPG
Since Clemson - 33.4 PPG

Worst Offensive Performance
2020 - vs. Louisville
6/16 passing for 45 yards
25 carries for 92 yards
137 total yards - 3.3/play

Since Clemson - vs. UNC
4/18 passing for 39 yards
32 carries for 108 yards
147 total yards - 2.94/play

Was talking home games.

Beating up GA Tech > pulling out of ass OT UConn

Competitive Ls vs BC & NC State > no other competitive games

Heck even 2005 we beat up UB and had a competitive Ls to WV, UVA, Cincy.

2007 was worse. 2014 was worse. 2008 will depend on BC IMO. A blowout and I have this #3 in the Dome era.

The amazing thing is many of us thought we had a chance to win with a walk on QB. Just crazy.

Thankfully, I didn’t have the time to formulate that opinion after how much I laughed at the absurdity of a walk on true freshman lax player being named starting QB. And yet, it somehow went even worse than I originally imagined it would.

I get that the Mystery of Luke Carney is going to animate some folks for the rest of the season. And maybe the staff is keeping a good QB from playing for nefarious reasons. Who knows, the world is a crazy place.

However, I was the guy responding to the "it can't get worse" crowd saying that of course it can get worse. And it sure did last night.

Bottom line, I feel confident in saying that they all suck. And the staff's job of developing and preparing them sucks too. It's a cluster.

I never thought that for a moment. My hope was that he made a few plays that gave some hope for the future. Oh well.

UNC was ascending, we were not.

I'm all chips in on the Mystery of Luke Carney. It's the most interesting thing we have going right now.

You should put a ™ on that.

One thing eveyone misses when you compare 2020 vs. 2025 we have hope
We had basically none with Babers
Fran and Co have soon with a QB they can run an elite offense
We are super young and missed on our backup QB, it happens
Better days are ahead!

No?
It was a terrible season, I was just making a point that we've had a really really really bad season not to long ago...
I think it makes your point stronger. We're even worse than the Covid season when our squad was decimated.
