Wow. That's awesome.,I'll be heading there next weekend. I want horseradish on mine though! :D

had horseradish, onions, and mustard. New roll: Rochester/Buffalo weck as opposed to the old onion roll--was great!

Meet and greet after the game next week?

disappointment. They got some kinks to work out. First the upsides: place is good looking, and the roast beef as good as ever, coleslaw still tasty too. Problems: The rolls suck, too hard, too much, too salty. Bring back the onion rolls or go plain. Cole slaw quantity cut to about half. Speaking of about half the beers have been significantly down sized to about 7 or 8 oz with no corresponding decrease in price I don't think. Way too small and only other option is to get a full pitcher. It was fun listening to the guy behind the counter telling me how good a smaller beer was for us.

The condiments bar will never pass health inspection. No longer is there individ. small canisters of mustard and horseradish you can bring to a table, rather there's a tiny station you have to cram in to and fight everyone else to slop the stuff to your plate from larger vats of Onions, mustard, Horseradish. Pretty gross and pretty messy and worse off very unhygienic with any cretin able to do bad things there into it if they want to, whether they mean to or not.

Like I said the look of the place is nice enough but the layout seems to work less logistically well. Soup was ok and saw no other menu items at all, at least at this point. Might just be nostalgia talking but the place lacked the vibe of it's predecessor.

At first I too thought this was the case, because the drink menu board is terribly done, but its not true. They do not have a pint option which I agree is totally stupid. But, you missed a size they have labeled "PP" There are 3 sizes. The small 8 oz. mugs for $2.75, the PP or "Personal Pitcher" 32oz which is about $9.75. Its basically a mini pitcher with 2 pints of beer. And finally a full pitcher.

The personal pitcher with 32oz of craft beer for $9.75 is completely reasonable, although the whole thing is confusing. Great to have them back though

Agree with several points.

They don't seem equipped to handle large crowds.

We couldn't find the condiments.

Definitely need to work out some kinks, but they've done a nice job with the place.

Think it will definitely get better as they move along, and thanks 690 for opening my eyes to the beer options. Think the dude would have explained things instead of just bringing out the mini beer when I ordered a beer and when I questioned him on it being so small didn't even mention the other options. Like I said kinks to work out.

They do have mustard and horseradish on every table. I saw it opening day and again last Thursday. I agree with the roll it's kind of hard and doesn't handle the juices very well.

You guys must have gotten stale rolls or something--I thought the weck rolls were tasty and just right for holding the roast beef together.

Also, now have beef stew on the menu. They were also hoping for a roast turkey option to compliment the beef like in the old place but they still haven't found a supplier that approaches the quality of the turkeys they used to get from Plainview Farms. They are still looking, though.

And don't forget the pickled eggs and Croghan baloney!

I agree about the rolls -- get some soft onion rolls. And the sliced onion is lacking. Wonder why they don't provide red?

But our table and all those around us had individual jars of horseradish and mustard after the game on Saturday.

I think things will improve once the mad crush of people calms down a bit. But onion rolls need to be reintroduced ASAP.

yeah right. That's weird re the condiments, didn't see any individ ones anywhere and we were directed to the the table with all of them together. It was last night, Monday, not too crowded, maybe they only bring em out with rushes of people? Who knows, lets hope they didn't try to fix what wasn't broken with these changes.

Yeah, I'd be curious to learn the reasoning behind some of the changes (interesting to learn about the turkey in a previous post). Hopefully it's not just change for the sake of change.

One more overlooked improvement, though: it's no longer a cash-only establishment. Love that.

Biggest positive change by far. I had wholesalers at least 4 times a year that wanted to take me to Clarks and we could never go due to cash only. Hell, I haven't felt green in my hands in weeks. 2014, plastic or bust.
