That might very well be the dumbest recruiting photo I've seen posted that doesn't include Brian Kelly wearing sunglasses and dancing.
"You want to take a picture with me riding a cow?"
WTAF?!
It’s not a coincidence that Fran who coached for Matt Rhule are targeting the same players since they are looking for similar types of guys. Some of our very high end targets also have Georgia involved for context. But yeah Nebraska needs to slide to the side. I can imagine they are throwing crazy numbers at the Syracuse commits to try and flip them. They probably will flip some of them and overpay significantly just because for optics they need to at this point, but I’m extremely impressed we continue to hold them off. The recruits clearly want Syracuse as choice number 1, we just need to be in the ball park financially. What is it with Nebraska and our recruits? Can’t they find any of their own?
That is a truly horrible scene. That bull looks humiliated.Ruhle giving me the douche chills with that photo.
Gimme Lambos over depressed cows any day. That is a truly horrible scene. That bull looks humiliated.
Who wouldn't take 1000 horses over one worn out bull?Gimme Lambos over depressed cows any day.
The other thing is... when you stack high rated OL, it builds forgiveness into the roster. You don't need them all to hit. For a lot of our program's history it's been painful when our top rated guys on the line didn't pan out. If you get 2-3 of those per class though, you start stacking the odds in you favor. If 2 out of the 3 whiff and you have one guy hit that's a lot better than counting on one guy that ends up whiffing.Between Cooper and Roseby. They are going to be tough to hold onto cause the big programs are calling. And there is a reason. Both of these guys are huge and athletic, move well and great frames. These dudes probably won’t start day 1. But both of these guys are likely day 1 on the two deep like Byron Washington this year. A future line with Washington, Khalil Stewart, Cooper and Roseby is pretty damn scary. Good scary for us. Not for the opponent lol. Those are some big, strong, mean dudes
Why is the narrative still "they will be hard to hold onto"?Between Cooper and Roseby. They are going to be tough to hold onto cause the big programs are calling. And there is a reason. Because players who are really freaking good are always hard to hold on to, because every other team wants them, and will be recruiting them extremely hard until the end.Why is the narrative still "they will be hard to hold onto"?
Honest question: if he had picked, say, Clemson, and we kept after him, would you say it would be hard for Clemson to hold onto him, on account of our pursuit?Because players who are really freaking good are always hard to hold on to, because every other team wants them, and will be recruiting them extremely hard until the end.
Doesn’t mean it can’t be done, just that it’s going to be work for Fran and Co to do
I wouldn’t say he would be hard for Clemson to hold into because of us specifically. But if a lot of big time schools were coming at a recruit who is committed to Clemson. Who is also taking visits to other schools including Syracuse. Then yes I would say it is going to take a lot to hold onto that recruit. Fran has shown he is a good recruiter so I have faith both of those guys sign with us. That being said we are going to have to recruit both of them hard until signing dayHonest question: if he had picked, say, Clemson, and we kept after him, would you say it would be hard for Clemson to hold onto him, on account of our pursuit?
