OT the reports of Eli's demise

Can we see how he does against a real team first?
in the NFL, theyre all real.

last 3 weeks

26-39, 66.7% 277yds 2td & 2int 83 rating
21-28, 75% 234yds 2td & oint 123.2 rating
28-39 71.8% 300yds 4td & 1int 117.5 rating

thats not a fluke, kids.

and of the 3 ints...1 is a hail mary with no time remaining, 1 was a tipped ball and 1 was the TD to randle that somehow became an INT last night.

hes over that 70% completion rate goal and the rating is 107.9

Eli Manning wanted me tell all you haters to go muthaflukking flukk yourselves and stay out of the gawddamn SuperBowl Express' Way.

:mad::mad::mad:

Oh Lord

Eli has looked more comfortable each week in McAdoo's offense, and it just makes me hate Gilbride even more. Glad the Giants finally got fed up with having an offense stuck in 1995 and made the change to a modern, faster-paced West Coast system.

Also, what a revelation Larry Donnell has been. Great NFL offenses in 2014 have a big, athletic pass catching TE, and the Giants finally have theirs.

The #1 pick in the draft, for whom you had to give up three additional draft picks, does not suck. That must be comforting. Ha ha!

The winning two Super Bowls was just a perk.

The change in the Giants from week 1 to now is incredible. And as someone who basically wrote them off I'm happy to be wrong.

It helps that the running game is finally taking form, too.

as long as Dallas, Philly, or the Giants have 2 wins against Washington, I don't care how many other games they win. ;)

Are you guys supporting Eli trying to tell me that the preseason is meaningless?

Absurd.

The winning two Super Bowls was just a perk.
As a Cowboy fan I would definitely trade places. It must be an interesting experience to have a QB that is generally unspectacular, but put together two fantastic runs and won when it mattered most. Manning has earned a pass for his mediocrity, which isn't unfair. It's almost the opposite of what Cowboy fans have with Romo.

Can we see how he does against a real team first?

No. He's a 2 time Super Bowl champ, not an unproven scrub.

He was never the problem in the first place, most football fans don't know what they're talking about though.

I don't think he ever had a demise, nor do I think that he was ever a top 5 qb.

Pay close attention to those that think Eli is a good QB and remember them when having future discussions on this board

We are.

You guys do realize that when Eli retires:

- he will he have over 50,000 YDs joining only Favre, Peyton, Marino, Brees, Elway and Brady.
- he will have over 350 TDs, joining only Favre, Peyton, Marino, Brees and Brady.
- he will have 2 SuperBowls, joining only Starr, Griese, Bradshaw, Staubach, Plunkett, Montana, Aikman, Elway, BigBen & Brady. And maybe 1 of the other regulars season playstation nation heros will join.

He's already got the hardware, the end stats will make him a slam dunk, 1st ballot inductee.

Comical.

Not sure what he has to do.

Go ahead, don't start him on your fantasy team, nobody gives a shlit.

You don't have to sell me on Manning, but give me a break with the numbers. You can't compare today's passing stats to the past. Can you imagine the numbers guys like Marino and Fouts would have in today's NFL?

He will never catch Favre and maybe not Peyton.

Brees could blow by a bunch when he gets going.

The point is...that even in this era...he will be amongst the tippy top.

Can we talk about how the backstreet boys will be in the rock & roll hall of fame next?
