Quarterfinals in '02, beating Mexico in the Round of 16 but losing to Germany 0-1 in a game the US controlled and that even the German manager admitted we should have won. Made it to the semifinals in 1930, finishing third.

Landon Donovan was called for a foul right on the German goal line when he was simply holding his ground. Ended up scoring on simple header in a wide open goal, but the ref called a foul for basically "boxing out" the German defender. Still a horrendous BS call.

Technically, both times are (identical and) correct.

Most of us in the eastern US observe DST, so listing a time using Standard Time would be confusing.
I usually get a kick (or irritation) out of someone listing a time with an incorrect DST-related designation.
In this case I got an even bigger smile. I suspect that Rocco didn't intentionally make two errors that cancelled each other out. Genius.

I'm just happy to see people that excited for soccer. I couldn't care less about what chant is used or what the origins are. Most of the best MLS chants are not safe for use for the USMNT.

I can tell you this its the first and only time in my 25 years in practice where people have been talking about soccer all morning! (Myself included and count myself amazed that I'm watching the clock to be sure to catch a SOCCER game.....cats and dogs cavorting together, Dems and Repubs canoodling......)
