damn...just out of arena...was with NCSTATE friends...great seats...didnt mind chantting for Orange...and they are glad we are ACC bound...someone to kick NCs and Dukes asses...we need to continue the team support for the whole year...by the way...not so bad with Fine etc posters and chants...NCSTATE was a good and fair crowd

It really has been amazing. Our hoops fans are like Nebraska or OSU fans, in that they can take over opposing venues.

It hasn't always been this way [I think the phenomenon really took off after 2003], but seeing our fan road presence is unbelievable to watch now. MSG, Georgetown, Rutgers, those games in Atlantic City...and now NC State.

Agree - I just got back as well and the NC State fans were very gracious. I heard absolutely no trash talk.

It was an unbelievable and nauseating sight. It looked like they had complete sections all to them-Yankee-selves, esp the top level. And the sections behind the baskets, towards the upper sections of lower levels, were FULL of fat jersey-wearing goatee-sportin'-jeans-and-white-tennis-shoes obnoxious Yankees. How did they get complete sections? That's just a matter of their fans buying groups of tickets together the first day tickets were for sale, I suppose. Sometimes I couldn't tell if they were yelling GO ORANGE or if it was us yelling GO PACK bc they were so ******* loud.

I guess Cary was half-empty tonight, though. I plan on going out later, still wearing red, and am not looking forward to running into DBs in orange.

Guy in front of my wife started chanting "child rapist" during the LGO chant in the first half. She taps him on the shoulder and says, "real classy". He starts going into some rant about him still being on the bench and blah, blah, blah. Cuse fan next to my wife gets into it a little with him. I end up saying a couple things to him. Needless to say, he didn't come back for the second half. Douchebag!

Seriously, you'll come to find out...NC State fans have a bad rep, and deservedly so. Their normal fans are great...fun people to be around, know what they are talking about, etc. Their "fringe" fans, though...are terrible. No class at all.

Outside of DePaul, the arenas we tend not to have as good a fan showing in are the midwestern ones - Louisville, Cincy, ND, and Pitt.
