Edwards could be our best big next year. Twenty more pounds can make a big difference.
To me, that sounds like a whole lot of unrealistic expectations. I know you couched it with "could be" but come on, we all saw the guy. It's in part what makes getting Tape such a great get.

Tape > Edwards by a considerable margin. Tape > Marek at center. It seems like the plan would be to have Tape split time with Sid at center and have Marek play full time at forward. This should also help keep Marek from fouling out.

Lets get Tape in here!

Someone text me From Mike

then text back he was misinformed my apologies

I do not troll and do understand frustration as I am pissed but happy untrue
Who decommits from a school then recommits two days later lol.

Yeah my days of waiting for our bigs to add 20 pounds of muscle are over. We need big bodies. Get Tape here and JB open up the minutes vise and get a rotation.

If we were to get Tape, does that add any incentive for Hughes to come back? Or at least make his decision tougher? Not sure how realistic it would be, just curios. There would be some great pieces for a run if the rotations are right..

We’re not making a run with the slowest defensive backcourt in the JB era. We would definitely be improved though offensively.

Hughes is gone, period

I don’t like the idea of us “flipping” a kid. What does that even mean? He committed to dook and we continued to communicate with him? If we had secured a commitment and dook or any other program kept after that kid and convinced him to renege, his board would go apeschtuff. ‘Weird’ that no one seems to be bothered by this. I’d be super happy to get him, but I hope we were way over on the right side of ethics here. Even if it is against a team we collectively are mandated to hate.

We don't know the reasons. It's possible he found out player(s) were returning to Duke and his PT would be significantly reduced.

Was there a time today that he was going to announce? I haven't seen any great articles about this since it broke. Not even on Syracuse.com

I suggest you don't visit the football recruiting board.

Btw if you want a good laugh head on over to the duke riv als site and check out the tape thread. A duke fan called jb a slime ball. O the irony.

Fairly understandable. Not a lot of guys still around that have been hit with penalties twice. We claim about 10 different guys are scumbags that haven't been hit once.

A HS recruit can be recruited until they sign an NLI

Not sure how it works with transfers from the portal, it might be they are unrecruitable when they sign financial aid papers? anyone know the bylaws?

I don’t go there. Too many players to keep track of; too difficult to assess.
This type of thing happens a lot?

I agree, but I think there are pieces if played right. If the starting backcourt is getting 90% of the burn, then no.. But if you can mix and match some of the other pieces at the right time, I think you could get some good mileage.

Right, but that would be different from a characterization of us “flipping” him.

I’m sure it’s all ‘gray’ areas, but like I said—if K were still calling one of our recruits after we got a verbal commit, and he managed to get a decommit, we’d go nucular[sic].

this has already happened it's called playing the game. seton hall flipped a kid that already played a whole season with our team.
Didn’t they get punished for that? The coach?

Flipping recruits is absolute commonplace for football.

Unless a recruit has signed his NLI, everything is fair game.

We've flipped recruits on Signing Day, and we've lost kids too.
Yep,

I remember football last year had a transfer from Coastal Carolina, get flipped to NC St

Since theres no NLI for transfers, are they more fair game until they enroll or are they off limits when they sign financial aid paperwork?
