11/6 in 23mpg is pretty damn efficient
It’s not bad. Weaker competition. Why was he limited to 23 minutes? I like that he won’t likely get muscled. I think of him as a nice complement, not a critical piece. I appreciate the civility of your response. I was expecting to get pure flames.

Like you said, Tape is a piece; Griffin was crucial. We only need Tape for 20-30 minutes a night depending on the game

I think just the opposite. another shooter is great but a post game helps our shooters get open shots it becomes pick your poison...
I'm with Gabjon on this.. Having an inside threat like Tape opens things up big time for our guards and Griffin who can shoot the 3. Also Marek, who displayed some nice driving and passing ability.

There’s a Columbia/Rutgers game highlights vid on YouTube from 2018. I think Tapé had 15 points in that game. In significantly fewer than 40 minutes.
He’s got decent skills, is a solid body that won’t get abused like we often have lately. And he’s a year+ more mature now. Maybe he’s made another step forward.

We have no idea what we’ll get with JBA at the 5, and Edwards looked promising but not ready for major minutes. And Sidibe is improved, but can’t stay on the floor and had knee issues. Tapé can help. We might actually have a post up game. And an inside-outside tandem with Griffin.

I believe he had a season-ending injury and then sat out last year.
