I'm seeing a few people talking about BC playing FSU and Clemson tough when Cuse was blown out. This is somehow supposed to make us think that Addazio and crew are better coaches, so let's look at a couple of things:

-Williams is the best RB in the ACC.
- BC is starting a QB who has been a starter for 3+ years and SU is playing a RF.
- BC won by 10 against New Mexico State, and gave up 34 points in the process. New Mexico St is a team with 0 wins against FBS teams in the last two years. This is also BC's only road win on the season.

My point is that this notion that BC is having a "better" season than SU is yet to be proven. Right now BC is winning games that they are supposed to win. Let's wait until the end of the month to see what happens head to head.

Fair enough. I just hope we beat Pitt - because everything to date indicates that BC will beat up on us despite their new coaching staff and multiple years of terrible recruiting.

Nonsense

Nonsense
I certainly hope you are correct - however I'm not sure why looking at their record and statistics facing a schedule that is very much like ours is nonsense. We are in a new league, with new coaches - so you have to look for an appropriate point of comparison to get perspective on how we are doing - BC seems like a good place to start. Why is it nonsense to look at how BC performed versus Clemson and Fl State?

totally disagree. BC has 1 road win in the past 2 seasons, and it came last week in a close one with a 1-8 New Mexico St

I think you hit it on the head with the threat title. It's perception that BC is better. Perception goes a long way when it comes to recruiting and other things. That's why us playing FSU and these teams close, or at least competitively matters.

I think what matters more is what SU does the next 2 weeks. Win both and SU gets the edge.

Addazio is clearly the better coach, but I hope Cuse still finds away to win regardless.

That is a pretty absolute statement with little data to go on.

Sigh...overall resume.

One is an offensive guy the other a defensive one and Addazzio has 13-11 HC record at Temple.

Hardly enough to be conclusive. I'll take our guy.

Go ahead.

I would never.

Don't even care about today or clemso

BC's quarterback isn't anything to write home about. He's actually been a pretty big disappointment this year.

Boston College has a slightly better record, played nails tough against Clemson and Florida State and Syracuse has been absolutely obliterated in 3 of its 4 premier national games, and the other was a loss versus a mediocre Penn State.

So, yeah, I'd say BC TO DATE deserves that better perception.

BC was in at a low point, but they have turned it around quickly. And if we are talking about perception, the perception on this board regarding Clemson is wayyyy off. They've made it to the same amount of ACC Titles as BC (2) and only one of those for BC was with Matt Ryan at QB (for the record, Ryan was only became a star his fifth year). I grew up with BC, so still have a bit of empathy with them.
