made some news last week as he decided to schedule his five official visits.

This past weekend, Akok saw the local Providence program and had the chance to catch up with his former travel program alums in
Makai Ashton-Langford

Next week, he is off to Georgetown for their midnight madness festivities, joining fellow top-50 prospect
Terrence Shannon
on the Hilltop. On the weekend of Oct. 13, UConn will host Akok which he then follows up with a trip to Syracuse the following weekend before closing at Pitt on Oct. 25.

Much of the talk coming out of July had centered around Syracuse, UConn and Providence and that continues to be the case. Providence has had tremendous success in recruiting his Mass Rivals’ program, but one should believe that Dan Hurley is going to do all that he can to hit it out of the park with his first full recruiting class in Storrs. Syracuse should not be discounted either, and it is intriguing to see that Pitt and Georgetown have each notched visit dates, both being dark horses within his recruitment.
There is no clear-cut favorite at the moment and while I do view the Orange, Huskies and Friars as the three to beat, his visits should determine a whole lot about where he eventually ends up; I expect a fall signing."

The Yukon insiders dont know jack sheet...just trying to make themselves feel good about their chances by making seem like hes I'm a Yukon uniform already but following it up with the, "recruiting is fluid" line in case he doesnt go there. I don't think anyone has a great handle on where akok is going yet so we are very much in this one!

I can't understand why Akok would go to UConn over Cuse given our advantages in facilities, conference, academics, roster, (of guys who would likely still be there when he got to Cuse), coaching and recent success. Then there is the looming issue of UConn being investigated by the NCAA in connection with the Kevin Ollie mess. How much trouble they could get in is up in the air, although this Hartford Courant article makes for interesting reading. Come to UConn and Play Tulsa, Tulane and Temple in front of nobody, or go to Syracuse and play Duke, North Carolina, ect... in front of 18,000 fans on a bad night. Big decision

In fact, based on a phone call today, the 247 info about UConn is not coming from credible sources, Hurley Fellas plays lots of games, at the end of the day they know it and we know it, apples to apples - there is NO conversation, if they sprinkle goodies on the apples well then that changes the playing field

We should start a new threat about SU vs. UCONN Basketball programs inclusive of anything and everything as a barometer for Kids to look at, b/c they all read this stuff, if not them, their family/managers/coaches, etc.
