Definitely not a troll job. Just in January, like 7 lead experts on scout have crystal balled him to UW. Evan Daniels just crystal balled him to UW today, he has been correct on 86/89 of his 2019 recruit predictions. A lot of people who have no bias have him playing for Hop next season.

Zay has already lived away from home for the past 1.5 years, in Indiana.

He's going to be away from home for the next decade + playing Pro ball.

This is literally his last chance to play close to home, so his family & friends can watch him.
And he's got several buddies on the Syracuse team already.

This is what my hope was. I was thinking Duke would be the team in the end because he just felt like a blue blood school kid to me. My opinion on that has changed in the last 6 months or so though. I was hoping in the end he would want to come home and got my hopes up a little after that birthday cake thing with his dad. I don't have a good feeling anymore for some reason. We just don't get talked about enough. I'm concerned he comes home and says I love Syracuse because he is home and doesn't want to let people down but when it becomes time he picks Washington or Duke.

I don't doubt UW is in the lead now with the amount of people with inside info. The issue is when will he actually decide and what happens between now and then.

Our coaching staff felt like his visit was a home run, and that we were in outstanding position to land him. Then... nothing, he didn't pull the trigger.

The iron cools off after awhile.

I also agree that I've had him pegged for Duke. Sounds like UW has been consistently high for this kid from the beginning, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'd like to think that we're still in contention, but I think our chances went up in smoke after that promising visit.

Even your very own syracuse insider has him going to UW.

I know for a fact that the Syracuse coaches feel very good about our position with Stewart. Are they saying that he is theirs, no. But they feel they are in good shape. And last Monday didn't hurt our chances.

I was more just pointing out that it could be correct. I think of trolling as something being a half truth and being thrown in your face but you are right it doesnt have to be false

it doesn't really matter, but if he were to commit to syracuse today and i then went on the washington board and started a thread about the commit, that to me is trolling. i find what the husky posted did (whether he's a washington fan or a connecticut fan) to be essentially the same thing. be happy about it. post about it on your own board. add some information once its already been posted here. don't need to be the first guy to post it on our board.

The answer to your first question is clearly no. Its kind of dumb to think that would be the case. Id assume that coaches have varying degree of confidence, just like anything else.

Im sure jim boeheim, a guy who has been at it for more than 40 years, has a somewhat reliable feel for these things.

I'm sure Stewart loves Hop. Everyone does. But he also when push comes to shove, have to think about going all the way to Washington to play and the disadvantages that bring. One, the distance Tough for family to see him play in person. Or even on Tv since the games start so late. Two, the terrible conference that Washington plays in. No Duke, Virginia, North Carolina games for him. The difference in success of the programs he is being recruited by. Final fours??? I'm sure this is weighing on him. I know Syracuse contacted him right after beating Duke Monday night. As did his friend Joe G who is going to Syracuse next year. If I was Washington, I would be very worried. Stewart is playing near my home on Monday. I think it is on national TV. If I'm not playing poker are a casino (I almost for sure will be) I am going to see him play . I'll say hi for you.

Every school has been a favorite at one point or another the past two months. He very well could go to UW, but the chatter keeps changing by the week. Hard to get a definitive read on this kid.

Anyone who would turn down Duke basketball to go to UW isn't playing with a full deck. Same goes for turning down Cuse for UW.
