Kids going to be going to college, seems like he had nothing to say about the school, only basketball. Did he get to see a classroom
Seems like he had really good visits at Iowa and Cuse. If it’s a coin flip type choice, I like our chances. Generally speaking Iowa would need to be a clear better fit to select it over Cuse.We can’t ask for better comments about the program than what JP said. I think the coaches did everything they can to convince this young man to pick SU. Now the hard part. Now we wait for his decision.
Classroom visits and meeting with professors are always part of a visit.Kids going to be going to college, seems like he had nothing to say about the school, only basketball. Did he get to see a classroom
Well, there are absolutely sUM morons playing NIL……Thats my whole point. The nuance makes it too difficult to regulate. You won’t get caught unless you are a moron.
To be clear, I am not trying to argue with you just point out how untenable this situation is.

I was glad to hear they’re pitching him at the 4 as well as the 5. I think he will like that, and he’s certainly capable. We would be a handful playing two 7-footers at the same time. The fact that his whole family was able to attend, says lots.
And that they all enjoyed it.
Assuming they also all went to Iowa, they can compare and contrast what a PITA it is to get to and from Iowa from S Portland, ME.
Just tell this kid he's Tyler Lydon 2.0, and show how effective and versatile Rico was for us, how he helped lead us to a FF, and that he got drafted.
Iowa has NOTHING to compare to that.
I’ve had that feeling lately too. I think the Iowa visit put them out front, and we gotta hope this visit puts us back on top. I think he really liked the Iowa teammates. He would fit perfectly with the Cuse teammates, I just hope they were all around to hang with him. Monitoring his instagram - he followed all of the Iowa guys after the visit and it appears he’s only connected with Sy and Judah so far.I just feel like we are a close second on this one
Sure it is an oversight but mom didn’t include a “#notcommitted” hastag like she did for Iowa…
This is based upon absolutely nothing, but you'd have to expect that most moms would be leaning toward having their kid be a LITTLE closer to home when they head off to college.

JP Estrella’s official visit to Syracuse over the last two days mirrored most other recruits’ trips to the SU campus.
The highly-regarded 6-foot-11 big in the 2023 class saw the Carmelo K. Anthony Center, toured the school’s campus, and met the Orange players.
But one portion of the visit stood out. A round of golf at Drumlins, the university-owned country club.
Estrella hit the links along with his father, Syracuse guard Joe Girard, SU assistants Adrian Autry, Gerry McNamara and Allen Griffin and some other members of the basketball staff.
Estrella said both Girard and McNamara hit the ball well. As far as how he did, Estrella said, “The first two holes weren’t too good, but then I started to warm up.’'
Estrella said he and Girard wound up winning a four-hole scramble.
I just read Mike's article and it sounds like the visit went very well and we are in great position to land the kid. The fact that he stayed close to home by going to Brewster this Fall instead of some of the other bigger schools/programs out West/Mid-West and the big 2 in Florida (IMG/Monteverde) bodes well for us.Not the take I expect from someone with the handle Orangefan1.
Seems like something Orangefan2 would say.

"The visit went really well," Estrella said. "I got to do a lot of fun stuff. My favorite part was going to coach's house and hang out with the guys, play some. hoops with all of them, watch the managers one v one each other. It was pretty fun going to his house. Overall the visit went really great."
