And just to point out if your on IG/Twitter literally every basketball related media page/fanpage/fanboys/whatever you want to call yourself the entire content right now is FLOODED with the news about Dior...he is kind of a big deal. I mean lebron and KD and all kinds of other superstars are commenting on his page about it. That's why people follow him especially if your a Syracuse fan hoping he comes here.

Only sports related pages I follow are the official SU accounts. Other than that, I don't go out of my way to look for this stuff.

Some of you have to remember that they are kids. Most of what they do will be impulsive and reactionary. At the end of the day, it's their decision. Just saw a recruit yesterday announce he was bypassing college to go to the NBA and he mentioned how his "fans" quickly criticized him for his move. Don't be one of those people that obsesses over high schoolers.

If he doesn't go to SU, its probably because of the Twitter fans giving him $%^! all the time about whats on his Twitter
That’s why you have to balance it with the cool middle aged big brother/father vibe. Like “Dizzor, how is everything? If you ever need to unload HMU, brah.”

I agree with this. But the general statement about it being wierd following one of the best kids in the country in basketball that has committed to your favorite basketball program is strange especially now a days with social media. But yea I totally get what your saying...its awful and a cesspool 99% of the time. It's the culture and its horrible.

And while I agree with u 100% it's not right to attack young kids on social media, it's also totally fine to follow recuits/other media outlets etc to obtain information besides just the official programs pages and media guys. Some people look at stuff just to get info on a recruit...not "going out of their way to look for stuff." For all we know your "going out of your way to look for stuff" could be finding out what time keeping up with the Kardashians starts or who Alexis Texas is or what a Alabama hot pocket is. That's your prerogative and thats totally cool...and maybe even "creepy" but all of this calling each other out over some petty chit is beyond old. This forum is turning into a cesspool like twitter.

Percentages are funny things.

I wonder what percentage increase or decrease 125k would be in relation to what his parents make.

The lotto money doesn't go away if he goes G-League.
It’s a big gamble. College you play against boys your age. G League are full grown men

legitimate games vs grownass men who are fighting to keep their own jobs. the fragile ones certainly will be exposed. better for that exposure to cost the league a couple hundred k than to cost a single franchise a few million.

Euro guys play against grown men when they're exceptional and young. Is it a big gamble for them?
Well yeah they usually do it for years. An 18 year old has 1. The nba has the gleague contract structured just like a suckers bet. How many kids too the elite contracts last year?

Collective bargaining agreement.
I didn't think of that. Doesn't the current NBA CBA run from July 2017 through the 23-24 season? Or, does the the G League have their own CBA? Admittedly, I don't really follow the NBA and I'm way over my head here.

Yes, it is. For every Luka Doncic, there are X number of guys who get ground up and spit out, just like there are with our college kids who declare for the draft and find out they are not NBA material.

They don't really get spit out though. They continue to play in the Euroleagues somewhere for the most part.
