There can’t be enough structure for it to go unexploited. Heckfire, the US gubmit just set up loans and stimulus programs, and they’ve already been perverted. Granted, they did have to act quickly... and the ‘leadership’—— oh, no. Wrong forum.

DIOR JOHNSON.
Yea wrong forum let's not display your stupidity. The IRS is not an administration or "leadership" as you call it but I digress.

so, if i'm a top hs kid, i make a public "finalist" list of 10-12 schools
i design cheap t-shirts for each: "moqui syracuse," "moqui duke," "moqui kentucky" and so on
i offer them online for $25 but i only produce shirts as they are paid for, use zazzle or whatever.
whichever fan base purchase the most, i attend. i don't refund any money to the losers.

I'd decommit and stage a second chance T-shirt sale.

Honda makes cars in the US and uses union workers. GM is just a badly run corporation.
Honda's US plant is not unionized. GM went bankrupt because of unions. Their cost of production was bloated by high wages. Unions create a labor monopoly. When wages are artificially raised less workers are employed.

The evolution of unions. The beginning is ugly, the end is ugly. Somewhere in the middle there is a short period of perfect balance.

And, of course, capital never engages in monopolistic practices.

"People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but their conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices."

Guess who said that?

Adam Smith, The Wealth of Nations

i believe it was dior johnson who first noted that smith's comment applies equally to cartels . . . and to unions

Unions were not even a twinkle in their father's eye when Smith wrote this. :)

I thought GM went bankrupt because of their managements refusal to change and adjust, and that they produced a crap product.

If I'm a top kid, I take money from every school recruiting me, then go where I want. No one will turn me in.
The rule against taking money is not meant to benefit me, but to harm me and keep me beholding to the school and the NCAA.
In fact, my ability to earn a living in the US has been curtailed by others, and not by my lack of ability. If I'm a top kid coming out of HS, my true market value will be supressed for for about 8 years, and if I am a great player, it's supressed for my entire career.

I apologize.

Hot Take - Dior will attend SU for one amazing year along with the best recruiting we’ve had in a decade.
Hopefully kickstart the next golden age of SU basketball.
