It’s funny he’s similar to Copeland who everyone complained we lost. Now we get this kid and people hate him.

I personally hated Copeland lol. And I think Dual is far better defensively than Copeland, who was IMO a pretty bad defender that just played passing lanes very aggressively.

His stroke looks good. He’s obviously excellent on defense and looks like a good penetrator and passer. He will just need to be more aggressive trying to score the ball. Right now we have three elite defensive players in Dual, Doty and White. Unfortunately, scoring 60 points against a really good team will be difficult. This perimeter shooting won’t give a low big man much room to operate, even if we find a good center. You can plug and play some shooters, but offensively this current group scares the heck out of me. I just saw a video with Hurley and he says he’s stopped recruiting players who aren’t 1000 point scorers. He says you have to be able to score to beat good teams.

At this point we’re going to need to spend 5mill on a center that can step out and shoot the 3 to help spacing

On paper should be taken with a grain of salt.

We had a much more talented roster last year compared to previous years.

… and couldn’t do jack with it outside of almost beating Houston…

This will come down to how hard the PLAYERS play on defense and how well Gerry can coach them up.

Let’s not overthink this.

No idea man.

none of us have any idea how next season will play out.

Doesn’t matter if we got PJ Haggerty or Dual as starting PG.

Nothing is a guarantee.

It also doesn’t help everything is being played so close to the chest.

The unknown is scary.

Well I don't see how this kid would sign with us this early to be a backup and I don't see how anyone better than him would come to play behind him? We may sign some cheap PG shooter who won't play much if at all just so we have an extra body, but nobody of extreme value will come now with a starter in place.

If I’m being honest, I don’t want my pg scoring 15-20 a game.

It’s a nice bonus but I’d much rather him take care of the ball and play defense.

The scorers imo should be SG, SF, PF as your main scoring threats.

Which should be getting accurate clean passes FROM the PG.

Table setters only work if you have enough scoring around them, which we haven’t lately and don’t have so far for next year.

and with the amount of money that is/was there, zero familiar names or splash transfer so far. None. For those of us who actually watch other teams and games, this has been absolutely insane and low level transfers that no one truly cares for. No one from a big school. Got Bentley money and buying Camrys
