It’s the fact that’s it new and different, not the place he spent 16 years of his lifeAh yes, because South Bend, Indiana is known for its lavish lifestyle.

has to be one of the most disappointing cycles in memory
Therein lies the problem and disparity.Coach says its our best
almost every guy in that picture was an all league guard. Billy wasn't. Great player for us, when he played, but not in that picture.Carry on tradition, Judah.
Not at all. The plan or at least hope, is to have them both. If they both want to play for Syracuse next year, it will work itself out.Going to assume this probably means Cole Swider is coming back if Mintz is going to DePaul
Therein lies the problem and disparity.
who is the other one?I hope he comes back too, but then we have two starting forwards who cant beat anyone off the dribble.
Kind of like what has been done numerous times in the past.Only if you’re someone that doesn’t understand context and misconstrues something.
Agreed, I think Benny will be fine getting by defenders once he puts it all together (hopefully this offseason).who is the other one?
Bennywho is the other one?
He said it was his best coaching his sons lol.Coach says its our best
They actually all made all league teams at least once.almost every guy in that picture was an all league guard. Billy wasn't. Great player for us, when he played, but not in that picture.
Not necessarily. Sometimes players make their decisions pending other decisions they have no control over, player A may leave if player B stays, but if player B leaves A will stay, sometimes they will look into portal to see how many others in his position and level are there and their success in getting potential landing spots. I see a bit of wait and see before the dust settles.Yup, but if Cole decided to come back we would have no open scholarships for next season (this assumes everyone is coming back and no transfers, would assume if people were transferring they would have announced by now).
In that case, I don’t know, be patient and wait a few years. If this was 15-20 years ago, I could see JB making real adjustments to try to regain the program’s footing, and the old JB probably would have already made them several years ago. First, you step up your NIL game and recruiting pitch big-time and start softening your stance on considerations and promises that need to be made to secure the top recruits. Second, regularly mix up your defenses, playing both zone and man-to-man and even pressing at times. Third, hire a ringer assistant coach (a la Troy Weaver) with deep AAU ties to help step up your recruiting game. Fourth, use the portal to its full advantage to improve your roster and use advanced analytics to help you find players. Fifth, try to be a more player friendly coach. Stop exploding at guys on the sideline like an unhinged maniac or at least stop snarkily calling them out in press conferences. It’s a terrible look in this day and age and is used against us. Lol, this last one is a near impossibility considering JB’s hardened, old-school personality.
The narrative around the program and especially recruiting must change, and this would be some of the ways to do it. But it’s so late in the day for JB to be able make the necessary changes at 77 years old, with only a few years left of coaching.
Let me guess…You’re in the 18-34 demographic? He said it was his best coaching his sons lol.
People got their heads up their own … and are so anti-JB they can’t see straight
DePaul is a train wreck. So likely the most embarrassing.Losing Mintz to DePaul says a lot about our current situation. There‘s no denying this would be an embarrassing loss for this program.
DePaul hasn’t been to the ncaa tourney since 2004! Almost 20 years. They haven’t made a sweet sixteen since 1987! They’re a joke and so are their 14 fans. Are they? Their record sucks every year. They have been over 500 once in last 10 years in 2019.

SU student life is 99% on the hill, not down in the city. They're coming for the University experience, not to invest in real estate. Why would you? Would any of us be in syracuse as 18-22 year olds if we did it over? I love the school but the city is a freaking dump
Cheating?Wonder how they’re pulling in guys like Cruz, maybe Mintz and another 5 star. Doubt it’s because they suck.
