He's playing very well for the national team. I don't think there's a doubt he'd be top50 if he was playing in the US. The fact that Red was able to find and recruit a player like Fennell, and on a lesser scale Majstorovic, gives me hope our talent level will be at the top end of the ACC if he's given a few more years.
He didn’t find him he fell into his lap with a phone call.

His highlights from last year, in case you haven't seen them.

I'd rather win games than keeping losing but with better talent.
Well, right now a big part of our problem is that we have a lot of lower talent guys.

Having a team with 7 top 50 guys in the rotation would make things a lot easier.

Right now we have a lot of guys with talent to maybe be contenders for a rotation spot on a top team playing key roles. Injuries and illness and a weird dropoff from a key player hasn't made things easier, but the haul of low division transfers being asked to carry the team is a big part of the problem this season.

Even looking at the bright side this off season, I was really hoping guys like Carlos, Davis and Taylor would be spare guys who rarely got minutes, instead they are third, sixth and seventh. McLeod, Westry, Starling, Bell and Freeman all have had multiple game injury or other issues keeping them off the floor. Therefore guys we don't want playing big minutes are high in our rotation.

If Red can recruit and retain talent like his two most recent recruiting classes, it makes things a lot easier.

I like Fennell a lot, I think he'll be a good player right away because of his boat load of international experience.

Yeah I don’t know where this narrative is coming from. Donnie loves cuse. This is made up stuff. If he goes to nba fine, but he’s not transferring
If we can keep Donnie add a 5 and a scoring forward we will have a solid team

I think Fennell is a gem, but I also think that many of our losses were not due to talent.

We have less blocks and dunks than almost every high school in America. But our losses weren’t due to talent.

I don't think this means what you think it means.

There is no way he will be at Syracuse. In the portal or Pros
is there any inside info to this or just a wild mildly educated guess? these posts are so stupid if you dont clarify.

My guess is, and I'm not saying that I agree with it, that it comes from Freeman being listed as day to day initially, to it being reported that his "camp" was involved in his return. Normally, if it's something like an ankle sprain, a player's "camp" wouldn't be involved in their return. That's just my guess as to where this POV comes from. I'm encouraged that he made the West coast trip.

True, defensive ability literally crushed as well. What is Red gonna say? He is going to cover.

It will be interesting to see who Red brings in via the portal at PG. Right now Luke is the only true PG on the roster. I wonder if he continues to run JJ at PG given the logjam at SG.

Oh, I disagree with that.
Fair enough. Primarily due to talent. Although not great, I think there is more talent on the roster than the record would suggest, and my major concern moving forward is that the talent level can't get high enough to offset the staff's deficiencies.
