Ok, Luke's wearing number 5. His first shot was terrible and was blocked, but his second shot was a nifty baseline drive and swished a deep two.

Looks like he played along the backline of their 2 3 zone. Not a lot to say for his defense or rebounding yet.

Yeah Fennell is going to be a future starter and a huge plus on our bench this upcoming season.

Furphy and Fennell are the only players on team Australia that can keep up with the USA athletes on every possession.

I think Fennell is not getting much run so far because the Australia U-19 team is kind of small. Their guards, so far, are awful with the ball. Their coach must see Luke as a 2G/SF in this lineup.

I like what I saw from him at the end of the 1st quarter, but it must be tough seeing these guards on your team travel, fall down and lose the ball so much. They are just not up to the physicality of these US players.

Definitely not playing PG role for Australia. More like the 2/3. Haven't seen him dribble much so far but my first instincts with low confidence is that he won't play PG at 'Cuse either.

Fennell going to be a very good depth piece for us. Furphy and Fennell have their hands full with these USA 5 stars.

USA is clearly a step above Fennell’s squad, but Fennell hasn’t necessarily looked overmatched.

Australia seems pretty invested in Brogan as a ball handler. He looks shaky, but not much else you can do with him I'd guess.

Luke hasn't looked bad putting the ball on the floor, but he's definitely not being asked to run offense.

He just bodied a dude for a foul. Not a great foul.

Hard to project much from this. We're invested in Luke so watching him closely.

Fwiw I think the Aussie program values him as a shooter. When they run their offense they keep sending him to the corner.

Furphy has played a lot better than Luke.

That said, as he's going to UCONN, I'm still going to refer to him as a Furphy bastard.

First impression Luke is a 4 minute guy learning D1 ball this year. True to his highlights he has that long armed 1 hand loose dribble a mile from his body. A walking turnover. Glad to have him but expect nothing in 25-26.

I'm not ready to go that far based on this.

He's definitely nowhere close to being a point guard though, for sure.

Unfortunately, Furphy is going to good for UConn. A future Alex Karaban type player.

Yes though this is by far the best competition they have faced in their lifetime if I would have to guess. Fennell playing solid. If he was playing lights out, we would be freaking out right now lol.
