He is going to UK and the coaches are a little skeptical and are certainly not happy with how this went down to say the least. There was talk that they might report what they think went down to the NCAA but I don't think they will. They are not happy about this and felt confident until after that MSG game Quade attended

I think he's still here, because for the life of me I've looked for a legitimate UK Cats forum with any meaningful discussion about Quade and can't find one. Which would be such a disservice if Quade chose UK...there appears to be no real interest from other than a handful of UK fans as to whether or not he goes there. They seem sooo ambivalent for the most part. Pathetic. One thing I can say is I appreciate the passion of my beloved Cuse family on this site. Here's to Quade being Orange in the next ~8 hours!!!

Yup, it's astonishing. The passion exuded on this board is palpable. At UK he is just another one of many passing through and soon forgotten whereas at Cuse his name would be revered and remembered long after he has left. He would have the team spotlight on him and at UK he would just be another guard.
And at Syracuse, there are alums that could help him in his after life.

It is odd, but he chose this I suppose. I know his goal is the NBA - but every lead guard we've had the last 8 years has made it to the NBA except Scoop. It's not like we never send guards to the NBA. WWW has quite the influence

Quade didn't really "blow up" until this summer though. He was always hovering top 50 before that it seems, so he wasn't on the "elite blue blood" radar watch as much. So as we've seen before, I guy we have been on forever blows up and then the UKs of the world start swooping in. But good PGs are a commodity in this cycle, and there is a real chance UK loses Trae Yong to OU - hence Shai Alexander de-committing from UF to UK, and this. We can speculate all day for the reasons, but Calipari is not one who you want to be going against, no matter how good you think you are in good with a recruit. So UK fans have been 100% on Trae Young -- Quade was and in a way still is plan B. But there was no way Cal was going to go down quietly if there is a real chance he doesn't get Trae Young -- and we see the results.

If he doesn't come it's meant to be. The way Boeheim is holding Battle back from making name for himself (Dion) his freshman year to retain him for next year ( prob for own good actually) allows us luxury of recruiting Top 2018 guards who will view the opportunity better expecting Tyus to move to nba. Soph year. If Quade doesn't love us he can hit the road as far as I'm concerned

This is an honest question and isn't meant to be a slight on Quade at all.
I admit that I don't know much about Quade aside from a few highlight videos I've seen. However, even if Quade is as good as some say, I think it may be a closer matchup than some think.

If Tyus comes back, this doesn't hurt as much. Sure it would be nice to have Howard, Battle, Green and Diallo. But at the end of the day, if we have Howard/Battle and a 5th yr grad off the bench next year - our backcourt will still be excellent
