But he can pass, serve as a point guard in the half court, and cookHopefully the lesson has been learned to not sign an overweight out of shape plodder who can't jump over a phone book.

His passing has been really bad as the competition has gotten better. But he can pass, serve as a point guard in the half court, and cook
Oh I know…..I was being sarcasticHis passing has been really bad as the competition has gotten better.
I’d pay to watch this over an actual Syracuse gameHopefully the lesson has been learned to not sign an overweight out of shape plodder who can't jump over a phone book.
Center is focus of next year in portal. They have $1m allocated to find a center. They believe is Aussie kid as the PG of the future and don’t be surprised if Donnie stays.
Unheralded? He is Australia’s national team point guard for his age group.Counting on an unheralded Freshman PG from Australia. What could go wrong?
Nobody seemed to know he existed until we signed him is what I meant. Also, when you say “National Team”, it sounds great. But I think he’s like the 25th ranked SG on 247 etc.Unheralded? He is Australia’s national team point guard for his age group.
Ehhhh I get the skepticism, but at the same time I think the board underrates him. This isn’t a Howard Washington type pickup.Nobody seemed to know he existed until we signed him is what I meant. I think he’ll be good. Would I bet my career that he can lead the team next year? Nope.Ehhhh I get the skepticism, but at the same time I think the board underrates him. This isn’t a Howard Washington type pickup.
Yeah people don’t realize he’s one of the best players on a national teamUnheralded? He is Australia’s national team point guard for his age group.

Not just “a national team”. Australia is a top notch international program.Yeah people don’t realize he’s one of the best players on a national team
I think roster construction takes time with great evaluation. I’m excited that Kline has been out on the recruiting trail watching games and connecting with players. I think the portal is going to change and the ability to recruit will become important. Red and his staff are building relationships with the 26 class, especially with Rippley and Smith. You put those two kids on a roster and a coach will instantly look better. The four kids coming in next year are all more skilled than most of the players on this roster. We saw Tuesday that the right guys on the floor can play defense. Red needs to get guys who can defend and play offense. We have half a roster who can only play one end of the floor. Sure, that is on the coaching staff, but let’s see how the roster looks next year after a full season with Kline as GM and two recruiting classes under Red. There’s no denying this roster is a complete mess, but we need to be careful we don’t lose all the work going on behind the scenes to put us further back. If the portal changes, which I think will happen, you better be able to recruit. Players make coaches look good. Ask JB?
