Our O weaknesses play right into Pitt’s hands.

We are one dimensional. They won’t have to respect the run.

Our QB isn’t a threat to run, so they have no fear of coming hard up field.

Our OL isn’t good at pas protection. To combat that we throw a lot of short passes where we rely on the QB to make a quick decisions. So they only need to take away the underneath stuff.

Their DBs play like their BBall team and date the refs to throw a flag. Not good for a finesse/timing passing game.

They are vulnerable over the top and we don’t attack the field that way. Nor do we have the WRs to threat.

Lmao Pitt has more Int return yardage than Offensive yardage. Never even heard that stat before.

Soooo do you continue to throw and play the game or turn our horrid run game loose to get this bad boy over with as quick as possible

This is easily the most disappointing game in the last 25 years. Maryland was the 2nd game of the season . We ended up being awful. Georgia Tech was embarrassing but we weren’t good. This year we finally have national interest because of McCord, we’re playing our rival who is undefeated coming out of a bye and we come out sleep walking. Why are we banging away in pads in practice during the season if this is how you show up? As good as McCord has been he cost us the Stanford game with a pick 6 and this game may be the worst game i’ve ever seen from a QB. It’s not all his fault. OL is horrible and WR’s can’t get open. Not sure how we fix this.
We fix this by getting better players. That’s the only answer. It’s been the answer for the past twenty years.

However, the Pollyanna homers will bark about Fran being the best recruiter yada yada. Yeah, when you coach at Georgia. We’ll see.

I like Fran. I want to see him do well. I think he can certainly recruit circles around Dino. But, we might lose another 3-4 games this season. Can he recruit then? Again, we’ll see.

Our preparation for games has been dubious at best. Narduzzi practically knows our playbook it seems. But, again, with better players, this game doesn’t look like this because better players can block, run, and catch better. So, again, it comes down to turning over this roster. We’ll see.

Just go wildcat with villari in 2nd half. Run out the clock

Happy they ran on first down but Christ everyone knew what was happening next.

It’s been well established (at least the same posters are repeatedly insinuating) that the OL pass blocking was not an issue in the first half.

Did the OL run block well for Allen and Willis through the first 30:00?

the pick 6s underscore the fact that nobody is getting open in this man coverage. Receivers exposed a bit as well.
