Pitt losing again

to a Cincinnati team without Yancy Gates. Final -Cincy 66 Pitt 63

give some credit to cronin. the season was on the brink of disaster, he has done a nice job of getting through it and moving foward. cinci could be good if gates comes back with the right mindset.

It's shocking to see the completely opposite paths that Xavier and Cinci have taken after the fight. I would have thought Cinci was the one that folded, but it appears Xavier is the one having difficulties adjusting. 5 wins in a row for Cinci, 4 losses out of 5 for Xavier.

you could also make a salient argument that cronin owned it in the press, as opposed to xavier's relatively poor response subsequent to the game. maybe that aided cronin in gaining his players attention and respect.

Becouse Cin has a bunch of gangsters in there locker room not thugs :D. Seems as the halloway 5 has had a hard time just zipping opponents up.

When do they start bulldozing over the campus? Pizzberger U. What a joke. I just hope they don't gouge any of our player's eyes out when we play them.

It blows my mind how over the top the reaction to the Cincy-Xavier fight was; people are acting like they had a knife fight on the court. We laugh about DC throwing haymakers back in the day, but vilify the kids today for the same thing. Yes, fights on the court shouldn't happen, but acting outraged when 20 year old men act like, well...20 years old men and do something stupid in the heat of the moment is a little ridiculous.

The Big East's preseason player of the year Ashton Gibbs is having a terrible year. In his last seven games he's shooting 28% and 16.7% in his last four. He's not athletic, a poor defender, he's not tall and he's not a floor leader and he needs space & time to get his shot off.

Pitt's other "best" player Nasir Robinson wouldn't even see the floor at SU, UNC or Duke.

The Bearcats look like a better team without Yates.

Cronin will have a tough job re-integrating the returning players without losing what his 4-guard lineup has developed over the past couple of weeks.

Agree totally. Its not that big a deal, people need to get over it. The remarks made by Holloway after the fight probably made it worse.

I really hope we beat the crap out of the Panthers. That's a dog, er cat, that we need to kick while it is down.

Whats happening to Pitt and Villanova? Two decent programs with good coaches. Both coaches now rumored to possibly leave. What happens to them if they lose Dixon/Wright?

Villanova becomes Seton Hall, Pitt becomes UVa.

I'm not talking about fighting. I'm talking about P.U.'s organized and deliberate strategy to gouge opponent's eyes out.
