Nova had cut the lead to 3 with about 6 minutes left in the game, and you could just feel momentum shifting in their favor. Cooney makes a MONSTROUS off-balance three to extend the lead back to 6, and we never looked back. Just an unbelievably huge play.

Also, it seems very, very rare that we dominate Nova at the line - they are usually lights out.

Loved G saving that ball from going out of bounds to gain us another offensive possession.

Loving what BMK brings. His stat line might not be impressive, but, much like Ennis the dude is never rattled even though he plays with a ton of emotion.

On the other hand, if I see DC2 put the ball on the floor or bring it down to his waste after an offensive rebound again- only to have it stripped and stolen - I'm going to scream until I die.

Another MASSIVE play: late in the game, we miss a shot, Nova looks like they are about to have a breakout, but Ennis intercepts a pass but even then looks like he's about to go backcourt...but somehow manages to save it to a teammate, and we get points.

Such an incredibly smart, savvy play by Ennis to not just step in front of the pass but also have the presence of mind to keep it from going in the backcourt, while being able to get it to a teammate. His basketball IQ is one of the highest we've ever had at SU, and I don't think that's hyperbole.

I get this feeling that when Cooney hits an important 3, the team and the crowd all know that things will turn out right. I also loved his four straight free-throws near the end. I wasn't there, but I bet the crowd loved it.

Speaking of which, I wasn't really clear on what that Nova player did to warrant getting a technical called? I mean I'll take it, but it seemed like a strange call.

I believe it was for his reaction to either Cooney's reaction or the foul call. I didn't really see him do anything so perhaps he said something. I thought it was a clear intentional foul absolutely no attempt to make a play on the ball kind of hugged him from behind but they called a regular foul and then T'd up the Nova player lightning quick after words.

He wrapped both arms around him, like an obvious intentional foul.

Agreed but they didn't call that. It would have made sense and would have been 2 shots plus the ball. They called a common foul 2 shots plus a t 2 more shots.

Brisly Estime, Trevor Cooney. . . what's the difference? Clutch performances everywhere.

The only downer continues to be CJ's turnovers. He has to stop all the dribbling and learn to pass out of double teams.

Didn't realize that. It did seem like Cooney was shooting a lot of foul shots, but after that BS call on Grant, I wasn't going to complain. At first I thought that maybe Cooney was trying a 3 point shot when he was fouled and that's why he was getting the extra attempt.
