I know I'm not a professional talent evaluator, but I've spent months going through the ranks of potential grad transfers. There is nobody who stands out like Andrew White and very few who look like potential Syracuse caliber players. Those who do look like P5 players are mostly already in P5 programs and wouldn't seem likely to transfer from their current situations. What if the absolute top grad transfers from across the country thought, Syracuse is the place to go to get enough coverage to be considered to be a high enough draft pick to have a real chance in the league? I don't see any school that has committed to this format, for many reasons. I don't see why it's not a valid formula. Any player at that age and level of talent and maturity would know that nothing but complete dedication and effort would be acceptable if they want to be drafted.
Everybody talks about "the grad transfer market" like its similar NBA free agency. It isn't. It's mostly a scrap heap.
