Knowing that SU will be invited to a bowl, is the team allowed to continue practicing? Or have practices stopped with the end of the season and only allowed to resume once an actual bowl invitation is issued and accepted?

I think they have time off this week. Post-season/pre bowl game practices are limited to 15, so they probably are looking at our bowl projections and planning practice time based on them. The worst bowl we could make is the earliest, Yankee Stadium which isn’t until December 27 so they likely won’t practice until next week after final bowl placements are announced.

Well, never mind my post in view of the myth debunker post above.

The staff is on the road recruiting this week.

I would guess that Sean Edinger is still on campus, and maybe the team is just doing S&C? Get everybody recovered and ready for practices leading up to the Bowl game.

The 15 practice "rule" is going to be the new play 4 games and still red shirt rule in 2017 discussion I see lol.

Ok here is the real deal. Last 3 years after the final game of the season the coaches have a team meeting then group meetings then individual meetings. After that weekend they are gone. Trainers and s and c guys do the rehab and stuff but then around dec. 15 after the finals the players all disappear until January 15 after that they start winter work outs... very limited contact with coaches until spring ball starts 6 or so weeks later.
This year the coaches are in and out recruiting. Rehab and strength and conditioning never stopped. Next week the coaches return and they begin meetings and walk thrus. They get 15 on field practices between the last game and the bowl. They have more meetings and walk thrus like regular season schedule. Now you can all decide if that extra time helps make them better for next year on your own. I can tell you I know coach babers said in the past that not having the longer season hurt him in preparing for next year so I tend to believe at least on some level the players get better during this time.

I always appreciate the time you take to help shed light on what is really happening when you can and when it's appropriate. Thank you!

IF SE is still on campus, who is escorting Dino around the grocery store? At the gym? At Mavis? At fhe barber shop? Sounds dangerous to me:)

Our practices will also need to be scheduled not to conflict with final exams, which I believe are the week of Dec. 10-14.
