While this is no great revelation, I think the better teams are the ones that can readily adapt and win in a wide variety of ways. This current SU team is more limited than most, and the record reflects that. Still, they played some good defense at times last night, and rebounded well at key points, and that allowed them to gain control of the game in the second half. As you suggest, just find a way.Good point. This seems to be a point that eludes a lot of fans. Every team has some Jekyll and Hyde in them, and you don't know - or have a lot of control over - which one shows up until after the opening tip. Coaches, players and refs need to understand that before they will ever prosper. So you coach/play/ref with who showed up with and against whoever else showed up. The idea that you can predetermine what will happen based on your personal preferences has no connection to reality. Can you - and did you - do what it takes to win that game against that team on that night? Whether it's "the nice game" with dunks and downtown 3's, or a Pitt rock fight. Defense was bad last night? So what? They found a way to win. And win or lose, you take what you got, learn from it and get ready for the next game.
