I do think this was a major reason for him coming back. His role at the next level will be a spacer and good rebounder. His shot is beautiful and that he can make it while his space is crowded about anywhere is a plus.
And who better to teach him about scoring at the next level than Mr. Anthony? As a matter of fact, Petar could learn a lot from him too. Melo was one of the all time greatest scorers in international history. He and KD together were unstoppable.

I don’t agree with that. The earlier you sign someone the higher chance you overpay. It’s not like guys are coming off the board and there’s still players not in the portal yet that are playing.
There’s only 16 teams playing (maybe add a few more if you in NIT, etc). Chances are we’re not building our roster from those teams outside of 1 or 2 guys.
I am not saying we will, but it adds to the population of players available and drives down market costs.
Haven't we seen the opposite the last couple years? We waited too long and ended up driving up the price because we were desperate.
That is a pretty great Center combo and makes the whole Petar situation understandable. I want Petar to stay, but if he's looking at Quincy, William, Donovan and Sadiq blocking his PT, I get his reluctance to sign off on this.

We already in Kyle, White, and Donnie have more athletic ability then anytime in the last 10 years. That at least is a good start in being able to pressure, and possibly run a fast break.
