Then where are these complaints coming from?
You can tell from watching his HS hudl tape this kid loves being a DB. Great technique as a HS jr. Great coverage angles. Looks back for the ball, reads QBs well and looks to be a solid tackler. He was a three star because of his size, everything else looks 5*.Jeremiah Wilson is going to be our next “star” Db. He’s a little on the smaller side compared to Melfi, Trill, Williams, but he’s solid and from everything I heard and now being mentioned often as a playmaker it only backs up all the good things that were said about the kid. If he had to fill in at some point for Duce or Williams I would be extremely confident in his abilities. Great recruiting steal.
Linton should just eat what Ellis doesn't finish.

I'm not sure he'll ever be more than a solid depth, possession receiver. But you have a good point about our WRs last season so maybe I'm giving up too easily.I think people are sleeping on Queeley. Classic case of a guy we were hyped about and then fall out of love with in favor of lesser known quantities. Like the whole passing attack, he struggled last season, but he had a pretty promising first year as a starter. There's potential there still, no way the guy is a finished product, and it's hard to say any of our WRs were really used well last season.
I was having audio clarity issues as well (especially with the overflight noise), until my 10 y/o suggested that I switch on closed captioning.Lots of good nuggets in there. I wish the mic used to record the audio was closer to Stephen. He asked most of the best questions, but it was hard to make out what he was saying sometimes.
Jeremiah Wilson, Oronde Gadsden got some praise.
Dakota has had some run at center.
Coach playing it very close to the vest discussing the two deep. As expected.
Hope he is solid but it just seems that he dropped a lot of passes and could not establish himself in tight coverage.I think people are sleeping on Queeley. Agreed. Would buy a few of those in a heartbeat.Where can I get one of those hats?
Great point. The turnovers last year was a big outlier. If that turns around and the defense otherwise holds we will be in really good shape. We were really good in total defense which is basically total yds against. We were great in both rushing yds against and rushing yds/carry against last year and even our passing yards against were good. We were in the teens and 20's in those categories and it wasn't just because we ran the clock out as the yds/rush and yds/attempt were good also. But somehow our scoring defense was only ranked 66th. I'm sure this surely has to somewhat do with field position due to our offensive efficiency and special teams. I think all of those yards based stats go down a bit and we will give up more big plays this year because of our size. But hopefully our speed and athleticism leads to more big plays for the defense as well. We will get more fumbles caused knifing into the backfield and rushing the passer we hopefully get more strip sacks, tipped passes for picks and hurrying the QB for picks. It will be impossible not to improve on those number. It was bewildering to me how we went from a defense that was good at creating turnovers to being tied with one other team for dead last in 2021 in the FBS in turnovers created. We created just 6 total turnovers on the season which is almost impossible. Actually no team had 7 turnovers created. All the rest had 8 or more. Good ol' Scott Shafer with Middle Tenn lead the way with 32 turnovers created.
They are not small. They are tall and lean. The athleticism makes them harder to block. They had a 1st team Acc guy who was their smallest D lineman.Or small and easily blocked
I find the comments about Gadsden very interesting regarding his versatility in the offense and how many different things he can do, and being more suited to this offense. I wonder if they plan on playing him at the football player position.

Our punting unit was horrendous possibly last in all of d1 and greatly contributed to this. Based on what i saw this spring I'm not expecting much better as none of our punters looked like they belonged at our level. From my perspective this is our weak linkWe were really good in total defense which is basically total yds against.
