I don't think Jaquez starts but his name seems to pop up more and more. I could see him moving to starter by season end.

Not much to disagree with there. I think you’ve nailed the issue with WR, lots of guys, but is anyone seizing jobs. With the secondary kind of the same issue, they brought in a bunch of transfers, who is getting displaced.

Jaquez is going to be a beast, I have seen him in a few of the short clips provided by Bailey. He has great technique as coach Achuff lauded him during a Defensive line drill in one those videos, he also looked good in the spring game as well, Enrolling in January sure makes a big difference in freshman development , in the last video when asked about his favorite pre game hype song he looked really built . Thank you Northwestern.

We have so many WR's-Any of Cooper, Jackson, Gadsden, Queeley, Alford, Jones, Adams, Hatcher, Pena, Hayes could get on the field and play. Blocking might make the difference to get one guy on the field versus the other. I don't see Jacquez starting this early, but think he will be good.

Someone, maybe his father, tweeted in response to Mike M’s 2-deep that there’s now extra motivation as Jaquez wasn’t on it.

The depth chart article was actually written by Josh Crawford.

Isaiah Jones starts if he is healthy. Vet plays tackle. Bleich is probably center. Not much else I really disagree with as far as that projected starting group

I want any combo if Hatcher, Gadsden, Alford, Jones. Having outside guys above 6'3 would be great to see, esthetically, on the field. Though this is all based on size, not taking anything else into consideration lol

sutomcat You have Magnuson at 2nd string LT? I’m surprised - thought you’d have put Cruz there.
Well, no question, if Berg got dinged, we would see Cruz starting at LT. I think this did happen and Cruz was the guy who temporarily replaced Berg.

But he is normally practicing at RT and I think he is contending strongly for a starting job there. Manguson is the guy (I think) who has been practicing as the second team LT.

If Cruz does not win the RT position, he is probably the top backup at both OG spots too.

I just don't want to publish a depth chart that says Cruz at four different positions.

You could be right. He lacks experience but I keep hearing good things about him and I think Tony is not afraid to go with a young player with clear talent.

I expect we will see a bunch of players rotating in at DE and DT. I don't think it really matters who starts.

Thanks for explaining your thought process. I hope Magnuson continues to develop as a player as well. A bummer to hear that Red has been surpassed.

They played nine last year, I expect they will go three deep again

Maybe Mike retweeted it as I don't follow nor do I know who Josh Crawford is.
