In view of the disruption in the programs at Penn St and Rutgers right now I think there is great pressure on HCDM to make some type of noise in recruiting in the next week. Those 2 programs are at their weakest they've been in over 10 years so now is the time to strike. I'm not lookign for him raid their classes but just 1 kid. One recruit where peopel can look at and say Marrone got that guy to change his mind because. I really don't think that is a lot to ask. I knwo the response will be "well it'll help him make more inroads in the next class. I'm tired of waiting for the next class to fill SU's needs. I'd think even Marrone would kind of agree with me since he is not a next year kind of guy. He's all about this year.

The only think that matters for HCDM is W's. Yes, making a splash next week could impact that...I get it. But Doug's not under any specific pressure to deliver anything splashy on NLOI day. I'd be shocked if anyone who signs with us next week has a significant impact on the '12 season.

I'd say there is a grain of truth in that.

I'm sure the staff understands the opportunity that has been presented to them, and want to take advantage of the situation. But to say they are "under pressure" to perform may be a bit of an overstatement.

Agree that it would be nice to flip one of the Pstate or Rutgers players. For my part i hope that the problems they are having help Doug keep our current commits in the fold. I would be very happy with Manley, Brantly, and Morgan. In addition it will be interesting to see if we make a play for one of the Rutgers coaches with strong NJ recruiting connections.

A flip or two is always a nice chest thumper...

However, I'm much more concerned with the coaching and performance ON the field right now (than off it.)

The way last season circled and flushed at the end was mind-numbing and a year-3 failure.

Wins is what Dougie and the boys need next year...

there are no more excuses... and that's the real pressure...
