Dino talked about Price early on.Hey Sutomcat -- looks like Reed is making a push.
Also interesting to see Price ascending -- haven't heard much about him this camp.
Also, some surprise projections on D [to me, anyway].
Kalen Ellis---2nd string???
Injured, in a walking boot.Kalen Ellis---2nd string???
Reed is a different kind of athlete than a lot of our other guys. He and Enrique have the size, strength and athletic ability that makes them hard to keep off the field. That is why I thought he would win this spot. He apparently has a hand injury that doesn't help but good for him pushing through it.Hey Sutomcat -- looks like Reed is making a push.

He should take a redshirt and take the next 12 months to reshape his body. He was thrown in as a true frost and did okay. But him getting pt at his weight probably didn’t add motivation to drop some lbsKalen Ellis---2nd string???
imo the LB’s and WR’s are very speculatively listed. Her linebackers seem messed up. I get that she ignored Thompson, which she explained. That is okay I guess.
Thought Sparrow was better than McDonald and Lowery last season. But McDonald was playing hurt most of the year. And I think Lowery added some much needed weight so maybe this is correct.
Listing Mason and Gilmore ahead of Bailey and Roon seems unlikely. Bailey played well in the bowl game and is a player. I expect he will get a lot of playing time this season. Roon was clearly ahead of Mason last season and I would be surprised if Gilmore has passed him. Maybe Gilmore is a lot better than we thought initially? It would be nice to see some footage of these guys.
Surprised to see Delaine in front of Peterson. But he is apparently banged up some so that might have influenced Emily here.
I believe Pena and Marcus Adams are the only scholarship WRs working out at the slot. But I think OG is also lining up there a lot but there might not be a ton of opportunity there right now.Hoping someone steps up and challenges Pena for that wr3 spot. Love Pena but imo theres some better options at that position. He’s by far our best return guy though.

He has no future at the next level shaped. Like a sumo
Reed in the pictures I have seen has great bend and reach. That’s what Bergeron had. It’s what sets guys apart physically at the position. Ellis moves remarkably well for his size, great feet, but that is an enormous amount of repetitive stress on feet, ankles, knees, and hips at that size.If he can even do it, some body types just really struggle with that.
If we were Wisconsin, he'd be fine. Or even if we still had Tucker and that was more of our game.
I think we'd all guess that Beck, with Allen as his feature back, will be more wide open, and we're going to want linemen who are more mobile. Ellis, at that weight, is not.
That two-deep is no better than what I could do with my eyes closed. Very little of this camp stuff is worth anything.
Could be. He was one of the many linebackers who did not play in the spring game. I don't remember seeing him in any of the practice videos but I haven't been looking for him specifically.Roon got a season ending injury before the Clemson game. Has he been a full go participant? Don't remember reading about him. Maybe that factors in? But based on last years PT and production you would think Mason would be behind the others.
Pretty sure Dino stated in his presser after day 1 of camp, that Roon was one of 3 guys, including Thompson and and Walk on (forgot which one), that would be in a green jersey.Could be. Will try and see if I can spot him the rest of preseason camp.
Does anyone know if he is a full go yet? Is Thompson the only LB not 100% ready right now?
That sounds familiar. I thought Villari might have been in green for a couple of days at the start of preseason camp too but maybe I am imagining that. Good to see him out there running around.Pretty sure Dino stated in his presser after day 1 of camp, that Roon was one of 3 guys, including Thompson and and Walk on (forgot which one), that would be in a green jersey.
If Delaine can emerge as a viable CB candidate option that would be great news as we have literally heard nothing about him since He got here. He did have 75 tackles and 5 pics his senior year of HS. At 180 lbs it would be good if he could put on another 10 lbs to put him at around the same weight Garrett Williams was at. He was at only 172 lbs last year so at least he is moving in the right direction.LB is a crap shoot to guess depth in behind Wax. So many super talented guys in that room it’s remarkable. DL is pretty straight forward and I agree with that. WR is more right then not. OL is tough. Not sure if Kentucky transfer will start? Is that what we are hearing elsewhere as well? A lot of options in that room, a rarity for us. I am super excited to see what the young guns in the DB room provide. So much potential but unproven. Seeing that crazy Greg Delaine interception video was promising that we may have some ballers in that room we just don’t know about yet. Overall this team has so much depth it’s so refreshing. We have legit P5 depth for first time in who knows when.
