First off, if anyone can help me figure out how to post a new thread, I'd appreciate it. When I try to post, I get messages about creating a poll and I need to enter a topic, etc...no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Great win. It's always good to go on the road and get a W. Especially since we are #1 and considering all that has been going on, it was nice to see the team go take of business and now we can enjoy being #1 for a while.
Here are a few of my thoughts:
· The first half run was simply impressive...wow. I think I may go back and check it out again on my DVR.
· When we finally took the lead in the first half (I think 30-29) the cheers from the orange fans in attendance were clearly heard while watching on TV...nice Orange support as always! I loved it.
· Fab continues to impress me on D. I love his ability to get in postion to take the charge. His D could be huge come conference play.
· Dion is ridiculous. He is aggressive, has a swagger and I like it.
· It was good to see Scoop take charge in the second half. I thought he needed a good game to give him some confidence.
· Joseph, what can you say. Quietly, overall great game. Outside, inside...he looked good.
· Loved Southerland draining back, to back, to back 3's...good stuff.
· NCSt Willliams explodes for 25 and a career game. It's almost like someone on the opposing team always has a career game against us.
· I'm a big fan of CJ Fair. He just gets it done. He continues to be good around the basket and is also staring to expand his game. Ya he missed his 3 attempt, but I like that he he took it.
· How many points did the bench score, 45 -50?, are you kidding me? The fact that Triche sat most of the second half and this team continued to produce is a testiment to the talent and depth of this team.
· NCSt attacked the zone at the free throw line like they play against us all the time. Not only did they get the ball to that position well, they were effective at making the shots. It’s when thing to get the ball into that area, it’s another thing when you can score from there as well.
· Too many 3's and stupid jumpers to open the second half. Not good to see NCSt get right back in it so quickly.
· This team has composure. I knew they should have won this game, but never thought it was a shoe in. I've been a bit weary of their half court offense, but they really scored the ball in a variety of ways today however. Well done. Especially good to see them pull away after starting the 2nd half so badly.
· Suck it to all the talking heads who love to comment that this was our first true road game or our first game out of NYS. Seriously, when will someone acknowledge that we're a pretty damn good team on the road
· Finally, 12 more points and we would have had free fries...
yes, my point was more about them carrying themselves like sportsmen, than about their hustle. We got beat down the floor at least twice after made baskets. Once after Keita's dunk stands out to me.
They make a great play and then hustle to the other end of the floor.
The preening of past years is pretty much gone.

If you're going to give wide open looks - better 2s than 3s. Not that I commend conceding wide open looks but that's the way the zone rolls. For most players, the foul line jumper is a more difficult shot to make than a 3. The line needs to be pushed back further.NCSt attacked the zone at the free throw line like they play against us all the time. Yep. Joseph and Waiters were caught absolutely flat-footed on our side of midcourt.
For the most part, though, there's a lot of hustle. And I'm glad they've all got a lot to smile about (and aren't woofing).
