I know this may sound like I’m attacking Rex Culpepper. But I’m just being honest, he may have the weakest arm I have ever seen in the P5, let alone D1. It seems like he has to put his whole body into just a 5 yard throw. I think he actually reads the game and takes what the defense gives him better then Devito, but he just does not have good enough arm talent to play the position.
With that said, I don’t believe he should play another down of QB for Syracuse. It sounds harsh but it is a lost cause. He is just a place holder. We need to see what we have in the wings. We also need to see what those players can learn from their hiccups.
Rex is an amazing story and I wish him nothing but the best. He is already a winner at life, and he has already battled more then most of us will ever know. So I am happy for him, but the longer he plays QB, the more it hurts our QB growth.
