Pretty certain their OL took a big step back (younger) just looking at the numbers.

Salter was sacked 9 times the whole year in 2023 and 19 in 2024. He also ran for 1000 yards and Liberty as a team ran for over 4000 yards in 23 which dropped to 500 and 2800 respectively. Their top WR in 23 also went to LSU.

Just a side note. Salter may be a package deal with LSU WR CJ Daniels who was Kaidon’s top target at Liberty in 2023 when they had a huge year.

I think a mobile QB especially with an OL replacing 4 starters makes a lot of sense for next season. Hopefully if this is the guy on the top of the list it works out.

Watch his film and he has all the throws. Fast with a strong arm. He shows good touch too.

He had a bum ankle...just look at those highlights. He was not right but gutted it out. He even had a long TD run to keep them in it at the end where he was clearly in a ton of pain and still ran by everyone.

Good to know, his numbers down the stretch were quite concerning

I don’t know much about Salter but two things; he’s a much better thrower than Shrader and he’ll be a way better back up than Johnson.
