The way things are, you sign one (sometimes two) HS QB every cycle and let the cage match run for a starter.

This guy has a great frame and a lot of zip on his pass. Obviously needs to clean up accuracy but not so much you can glean from a non-padded practice.

If that’s the case and they offered Zaid here knowing they was a realistic possibility, then it’s clear they’re really high on Zaid. I’m good here

IMO if you're getting into a bidding war for a QB you should save the money for the portal QB auction.

Agree. Fran's MO isn't bidding wars for freshman in particular, at least it hasn't been. Freshman have to earn their money essentially. I'm sure that'll evolve given revenue sharing but he wants competitors who will fight for everything.

What a rifle on this kid.

Yes, the strong arm really stands out. Perfect throwing technique. Legitimate size. Poise in the pocket. Excellent athleticism. Quick, strong and agile too.

And one of the quickest triggers I have ever seen for a HS QB.

There’s a lot to like here.

I believe this game is Weddington versus Providence Day. It was played in late August 2024. They were the number two and number three ranked teams of the state. Weddington had won three state championships in a row before 2024. They would end the season third of the state. Both teams had three or four four-star athletes on the rosters.

Lott had missed practice the week before with an injury.
