QB

Obviously the players still have to fit the scheme, but I think we can get some more beef without losing a ton of speed and agility. Of course, players that have both are being paid hundreds of thousands to lose at Texas AM.
Exactly that is the challenge that I certainly recognize and I really do like our young linemen, I said Geer was our best recruit in 2021 and even as great as Sub Zero is, I will stick with that pick.

190 passing yards vs. 35 passing yards.
Exactly. Case closed. Garret Shrader with a broken leg is better than CD-RW (or CDR-W, or is it C-DRW? Someone call the Athletic Department, they will know)

I don't questions GS heart, will to win, or running ability. I do question GS arm, accuracy, and decision making in the pocket.

The things I DON'T question are highlighted against weaker opponents.
The things I DO question are highlighted against stronger opponents.

I think GS is fine if we are just trying to grind our way to 6 wins but our ceiling as a team is super limited because of his weaknesses.

This is really well said.

If we don’t lose any CDRW starts and the offense is clicking, Shrader will get Pipp’d.
Then that would be crap, to lose your starting job because I’d injury. 2 weeks ago Shrader was god, I don’t think has as good or bad as people are saying here.

Easier to come in when the team is unprepared. With that said CDRW is 10 times the passer shrader is. But shrader is a gamer. I take shrader this year only at full health. When he is not able to scramble we struggle because he is a below average passer.

Props to the staff for adding a quality QB transfer late in the process. I was encouraged with what I saw. Roll with him. Shrader will have to battle it out when he gets healthy.
Between what we saw of Lamson in the spring game and what we saw today, definitely feels like QB has made some legitimate strides in talent and ability.

We will need to seriously address the WR position in the portal. Seems our young QB likes to zip the ball all over the field and doesn't lock onto a single target.

So once you’re the starter, it’s permanent? Did you watch how he played the last 2 weeks? Heck, he wasn’t good throwing against NC State either.

Move Shrader there once he’s healthy…..
