Question for the dirt gamblers

What's the difference between a gambler and a dirt gambler?

A dirt gambler is someone who would gamble on things like what shirt will Steph Curry wear at the supper bowl.

or will a replay review overturn a refs call

a regular gambler bets on such boring things as point spreads

I play golf with a guy occassionally who wants to play for a dollar if you get a par after hitting a tree.

Haha. I gamble VERY little. I simply have a passion for following line movement and the psychology of degenerates.

That being said, ignore my 5 star super locks at your own peril...

I thought you might have worked for a sports book in vegas. not sure why. Is that someone else on here ?

Whatcha looking for? I've gambled away every penny I have. But, don't work in Vegas. Been there many a times.

Not sure that I have seen anyone on here that works for a book. Maybe.

Here's my question...one sports book had new orleans as -3 at home but it was at +105...meanwhile they had atlant at +3..but it was at -105...

so if they are trying to get more people to bet on new orleans, why not just move the point spread?

its also quite obvious based on the numbers that public betting must have been fairly heavy on atlanta getting 3...which seems weird to me since John Q public generally loves home favorites, even though New orleans has been terrible covering at home in recent seasons.

In the end, books just want to even out the money. They could have moved it to 2.5, in an attempt to get more action on the Saints. Instead, in your instance they juiced the Atlanta side, and kept it at 3. Giving up plus money with the -3 for the Saints, and juicing the Falcons. It's all business. They don't always win, but yet they do.

Many books actually did move to -2.5, and even had it at -120 to -135 for the Saints -2.5

A lot of books must have been getting a lot of sharp money on Atlanta with 3, and the ML.

Of course, I loved Falcons ML after watching them beat my Raiders. But, the debate is all I cared about.

Don't bet on the NFL, but isn't 3 points some important line number that they don't like to move off. So they will adjust to -105 or -100 first? Not 100% sure on this.

Got smoked on the Bills-Cards on Sun. Thought I was looking at a 31-17 game without Sammy, Glenn & Darby even with the Cards traveling East.

Question: are there any online sportsbooks that you can legally buy into with US credit cards? Or do you have to deposit money in shady ways like wiring money.

My friend is a Nigerian Prince and he will front money for you to gamble...sounds too good to be true.

Is taking Ohio State and laying 38 points to Rutgirls a good bet this weekend?

I wouldn't mess with huge spreads like that. Ohio State could dominate the game, win 45-10, and you lose.

No Meyer will not want to embarrass Ash. Also, Ohio State will be without 2 WRs. They will win comfortably but I don't bet any line that is higher than -20.

In the NFL betting homefield is worth 3 points. So if you see a home team -3 it means Vegas sees the teams even and HFA is why the home team is -3.

Vegas will always make games under 3 typically -105 so they get some juice both ways.

Now, most books have the option, and prefer that you deposit through Bitcoin. You can add your credit, or debit card to the BTC site, and it's faster than Western Union, and MG. At first it was annoying, but you can deposit quickly just sitting at home. Only issue is the limits are low for buying BTC at first. I could explain more, or lead you in the right direction if you want.

Not sure it's technically legal. But it's not illegal. You're just buying Bitcoin on an exchange.

I've bet on anything you can imagine. Watching a Cricket match for days isn't all it's cracked up to be.

How about a cricket race? Or better yet, a cricket fight?
