Most of the people here may think they suck, but I think the overall assumption that everyone feels this way is blown out of proportion. I'd say the opinion of the younger crowd would be flip flopped on whether they like them or not. And i'm certain the current players, players across the country, as well as high schoolers across the country, who don't know (or care) our school color is just orange actually like them a lot. This isn't to say well the young kids like them so that's all that matters, but it does equal out the love-hate opinion on them.

You know what's annoying. Living in an area that calls itself "Big Orange Country" (Knoxville, TN), seeing all the Tennessee orange everywhere, including the football field, and seeing the pride all the fans take in it. Yet, when I talk about my team and it's superior shade of orange, I can't even point out how good it looks on the football field.

if there are sports loving people in america who dont know that Syracuse is the Orange...then we cant help them.

im sure only the alumni really care.

but in reality, thats what matter$.

and $oon, the current $tudent athlete, will be an alumni too.

and if they dont have pride right now for all that is Syracuse...then we CAN help them.

for we can show them the door.

But still even when we break out the new orange uniforms next year I have a feeling there will still be a lot of complaining.

at the end of the day, when your nickname is a crayola crayon color...theres only 2 ways to handle it.

1. try to run and hide from it. ignore it, pray nobody remembers it, ie: wear a different color.
2. embrace the goddamn mothaflucking livingshit out of it. make it cool.

But we have a set of orange uniforms. Why they are waiting to unveil them until 2015 is beyond me, but we do have an orange set. We can't wear orange for both home and away games. Everyone has seemingly added colors to their school uniforms lately. Uniforms are the same as facilities if you aren't keeping up with the style your falling behind. I just don't see what the big deal is wearing blue tops and bottoms with orange cut in, since we will "eventually" be wearing all orange on the road with blue cut in. Plus i'm sure we will see plenty of mixing and matching since we have countless possible combinations.

I would like to see a return to the classic Syracuse Football look established by Ben Schwartzwalder and refined very well by Dick MacPherson.
