Good for jawar. The important thing for syracuse is that syracuse gets to a bowl game this year, not that they lost a potentially good player.
Seriously. He wasn’t going to play at SU. He knew he had to leave. He’s shown very little to be worried about and will not be a major factor if he ends up at Louisville. I hope he finds success, but I don‘t think SU fans need to lose any sleep over losing him.
Given the state of the program (read: not great) I’d certainly rather keep potential contributors in the program. That being said, if we’re going to lose someone from any position group, RB would seem to be it. The sky is still intact. We have a stud sophomore RB and a bunch of other experienced backs, plus a talented freshman coming in.
And our line usually stinks.
Not sure why this one has the board all worked up. Does it really matter?
My feeling is that if the line does a solid job this year, then our RB play will be very good.Given the state of the program (read: not great) I’d certainly rather keep potential contributors in the program. I don’t really disagree. We have two sophomores ahead of him who are likely better. And we have a redshirt senior coming back too, right? If this kid leaving sinks the season, it’s because we’ve had catastrophic injuries at both RB and OL. In other words, it really shouldn’t matter. I’d rather have the depth, because SU can always use depth, but what can you do?My feeling is that if the line does a solid job this year, then our RB play will be very good.
And if the line stinks again, then Jordan would’ve been bottled up like last year again anyway.
So barring a move to WR and turning him into the next Phillips(which did not seem to be in the cards), I don’t really care about this.
This truly makes me feel better. My initial response to him going to Louisville was an emotional response (betrayed, angry), and I knew it was a wrong, immature response. This is the rational take I needed, and agree with.My feeling is that if the line does a solid job this year, then our RB play will be very good.

I don't disagree with this. I know Syracuse will be fine. But I don't want Lousiville to be betterI don’t really disagree. We have two sophomores ahead of him who are likely better. This is a bad mark for Dino and I like the guy if one of difference makers actually transfers intra- ACC Atlantic division to Louisville when we have a talent problem as well.

Jordan is a playmaker.the kid would be at best the 4th RB at Syracuse this fall and you think it’s a bad mark for Dino LOL. What a joke.
I think it’s a great mark for Dino that he has a bunch of better backs on the roster.
Still not convinced Adams return. Did not participate in spring. Would be probably 3rd or 4th option. If he was going to return figured he would have participated in spring ball.I don’t really disagree. We have two sophomores ahead of him who are likely better. Coaches may have wanted to move him. I do not think any coaches pushed him out. Kid decided it was best for him to leave. He joins over 2500 players that fell the same way. Let’s see how many it works out for in the end.Jordan is a playmaker.
We need playmakers.
I like Tucker and RB is probably the position we have the most offensive depth at.
This is a bad departure for where Jordan ended up.
If he went back home it wouldn’t be an issue at all.
The fact our offensive coaches couldn’t use Jordan probably was a major problem.
He was a kid who needed the ball in space.
The OL was so poor to start last year it affected Jordan.
This is a tough loss but if the team has better OL play it won’t be killer.
Also what’s interesting to me is that he decided to transfer before spring. Did not even try the beat out the guys in front of him. He could still be injured or the coaches wanted to use him in a different role and decided to leave.
If they did make promises hopefully they deliver. The one thing about Dino is that I do not feel he misleads or promises player playing time. Could be wrong but from statements of past players it seems to be correct.Dino wanted to use Jawhar as a slot receiver, so we could get him the ball in space and he could use his speed downfield.
Jawhar insisted that he wanted to be an every down "pound the ball between the tackles" running back. He was never going to play over Tucker and Hough and maybe Adams in that role.
He chose to find another school where he was promised he could be an RB1.
One nitpick... he *could* be a playmaker.Jordan is a playmaker.

I’m wondering-was that play against Louisville? One nitpick... he *could* be a playmaker.
He’s had 44 carries, 7 catches, and 1 touchdown in two seasons.
I may be wrong, but I think he’s had one legitimately big play in his career.

That's what I thought. Hate to say it, but he's going to really hurt us on those jet screens they love to runit was against Louisville
