Class of 2022 RB Kanye Udoh (NJ) Portal to Arizona St

Offers from Temple, UMass, Rutgers, BC, Nebraska, WVU, Syracuse
Lot of offers from East coast schools, but I wonder if he will go West.

I thought this guy dropped out of college?

He’s from South Jersey and friends with some of our players. Our staff should know him well but I wonder if he’s too similar in style to Willis

How can he transfer from Army? Doesn’t he owe them a service commitment?

  • Transferring out
Cadets in their freshman or sophomore years can transfer out of the Academy without obligation. However, once a cadet starts their junior year, they are affirmed to the school and their military service commitment.

  • Transferring in
Incoming cadets to the Academy must start over as a plebe and complete the full 47-month West Point curriculum, even if they have previously studied at another university. This makes it difficult for the athletic teams at Army West Point to bring in cadet-athletes through the transfer portal.

Would similar style be a bad thing?

Typically you want some variety and not too much of same style. Based on the guys they’ve been bringing in/showing interest with it seems like they might be looking more for smaller speedy guy to fill rb hole.

Nope. My friend's son was on Army's team two years ago. Cut from team after one year, then transferred to Rice.

Sometimes, especially if your guys aren't versatile, but it's nice when you have guys with similar abilities so the offense can be consistent when the #1 needs a break. I think you get the best guys you can and design around them. That may sometimes be varying styles and it may sometimes be carbon copies.

I would take multiple big, fast and shifty guys that can catch all day long.
