2. The 44 debate is being hindered by the AD situation.

I'm pretty positive that at least 2 of those 3 things are correct. Could be all three.

Not everyone can handle the truth. Sometimes people get offended by it , i can relate because im brutally honest. Take a break if you want, just come back when RW commits to us ; )

FYI - CaliLuv really is taking a prolonged break from the forum, just in case anyone is looking for him and starts getting nervous about why he's not posting. He's had his account on here deleted but plans on coming back after 4/25.

In the meantime, let's all hold hands and send positive vibes to Robert Washington and hope that it sways him in our direction!

Did someone not want him posting here anymore or for his own sanity lol?

Really hoping Robert decides to come here, he could really make a difference. One way I'm thinking he has two schools in mind and we have around a 50% chance. The other way I'm thinking he already knows where he wants to go and is just enjoying the process, to which I don't blame him. I know if it were me and I set a "commitment date", I would know where I am going.

I'm losing hope that we will get an answer about 44 before the 25th, but I do have faith that Shafer will be in contact with Robert next week. I hope he can clear up some questions it seems the Washington's have.

No, I don't think it's that anyone wanted him to stop posting. I think that, because he does have connections to Robert and his family, he might be starting to realize that as we get closer and closer to the decision date, things might get a little more tense around here.

As far as 44 goes, I'm about 99% sure it won't be decided before the 25th, unfortunately. With no AD in place, I'm not sure any movement can really take place. I do know there was solid movement before the change was made, so I have every confidence the movement will continue once we have our new AD in place. I hope that Robert and his family realize that, too, so that 44 will almost certainly be on the table...just not quite yet.

I would think that the chancellor could snap his fingers and "make it so"! Of course letting the new AD make the decision would allow that person to become an instant Orangeman.

I did not know that the Chancellor had a side job as Commanding Officer of the Enterprise. I am not very hopeful though as dealing with Romulans and Klingons probably take precedence over un-retiring jerseys.

I can totally understand that. The pressure can get very intense. Can't even begin to imagine the kind of pressure Robert is getting (dozens of schools, and their fans going bat-crap crazy). Syracuse fans, though, in my experience, are the exception to the rule. Very few "turds in the punch bowl".

This is unsurprising to me. I was surprised he came around for as long as he did. I have to doubt he was on forums for all of Roberts top teams, which tells me SU was very much in play. Also the fact he intends to come back after Robert announces tells me that Syracuse is still what he expects to be the announcement.

All of that said, hoping and praying that Robert follows my line of logic.
 
Ok crew - this is my maiden voyage on this forum! I've followed it for the last few years and your comments and views kept me going while going through a tough year battling cancer (beat that crap!!) I've been going to games since Ben was coach - my buddy who's father was a cop would sneak us in. Got season tickets when Mac was 2 and 9 - been through it all. I'm usually positive and feel good about a lot of what's going on up there.

Robert would be coming to a place where the true fans really appreciate the team! HCSS has been quietly building a solid foundation with young men who are talented, hard working, and most of all, seem to be of high character.

I really hope Cali keeps up on this group. I know we're behind Robert's decision (whatever that may be - ORANGE!), behind the team, and the coaching staff. I don't have the answer on what is allowed, but I would hope the rules are being completely followed, and we're also doing everything possible to show top talent and high character recruits what we have here - we're coming!

I think he started around page 30 and is close with Robert - Don't think he's said exactly who he is but he has been pretty helpful and high on cuse.

Some of his first posts were around page 12-15 range. He's close to the Washington family, but that's all anyone needs to know at this point. If he wants to let people know who he is, that's up to him to do so, not anyone else.
