Recruiting mavens - please answer me this...

actually it is these (plural)!

1. I get the impression that we are on more guys earlier (2015 for example) than in the past - is this correct?
2. I get the impression that we are making an effort on many more very competitive races - yes?
3. I get the distinct impression that GMAC is really respected in Florida and will be responsible for the best class we have had in years. Fair statement?
4. I get the impression that we have more stealth candidates this year than I remember in past years. True?
5. I cannot determine if the greater impact is the ACC or the new staff. I know it is some of both but I suspect that Coach GMAC would be nowhere near as effective from the AAC (I hate to even type that thought). So, I am guessing that the ACC is the big reason for an uptick.

I check out the recruiting board fairly regularly but there are so many threads it is hard to follow - at least to know the current stuff.

Just my opinion:

1) seems that way
2) making an effort? no. being competitive with better prospects. yes.
3) GMac has solid relationships in Florida. Will be responsible for the better prospects we've gotten out of Florida since the early/mid 90's. Best class in awhile it appears but he's not doing it alone. A bunch of coaches are having a hand it that.

5) Uptick is the ACC and new staff both. college coaches who understand today's recruiting and seem to enjoy it. But there's a long way to go. When we hit the top 30 then we've arrived.

GMC's impact cannot be understated. If we land Enoicy, Ishmael, Mike Johnson, and/or Hallmon that will all be George's hand. We wouldn't be near those kids otherwise, IMO. Same with Edouard.
