SU 21-URI 14

The last time we played the Rams, they gave us all we could handle. I don't think they will be very good this year, but we have a lot of new faces ion both sides of the ball, and will be breaking-in a new offense. Coming off a 3-9 season, I don't think we should be talking smack.

If we can't smack talk URI, who was 1-11 mind you, then I dont even know what to say
^ This! URI was terrible last year in 1-AA. We are going to dismantle these guys! They will be completely over-matched at every position on the field. They don't have a roster of high-end 1-AA talent like Nova, or a QB who won the 1-AA version of the Heisman. This will look a lot like the Wagner game. We won't know what the offense is capable of until the Wake game.
Not sure Wake are any better than Rhodie...
Fair enough, but they do have an entire defense of D1 athletes. It won't tell the whole story, I just mean I won't assume anything about the offense from blowing out URI. If we blow out Wake, I'll get a little more excited.
I hope T. Hunt = 0 punches...
Something to think about - In the first NY Times Guide to Colleges, URI students described their school as "High school after high school."
Wake has "D1" athletes like Greg Robinson had "D1" athletes. Their roster is young, and thin. I'm hoping we roll through the first 3 games in such a way that I can get my hopes WAY too high for the LSU game.
If I take all the 1AA games we have played last 10 years, maybe 2 of them have been over at halftime. Lets just win by 3-4 TD's and move on
I remember when people complained that the URI game in 2002 was too close, which was a 63-17 final, 42-17 at half time.
It wasn't a dominating enough win.
Cautionary note, even if it's a blow out, it is in no way an indicator on how the rest of the season is going to go.
Last year's over. #throttlerhodeislandRemember when the team thought, and played like, they would throttle Villanova last year?
