It was over for me when I read he hit a coach in the head while warming up on the sidelines last week. Could be false but the fact it’s believable is just pathetic.

If that’s the case, and I’m not trying to suggest it is, more likely a booster gave Fran money to “go get what he needs” and that resulted in Rickie. That makes it hard for Fran to go back to that booster for more, especially if he gives up on Rickie. Of course Fran could just say “my bad” and hope for the best.

I’d hope that Fran would be able to have a civil and reasonable discussion with this booster. Tanking the season and possibly his tenure just to save face with a booster would be just bizarre.

It is too late anyway to get a kid for next year, so it doesn't matter.

The outside look is that whomever is QB1 stays in to the point of irrationally.

I think the problem is that Steve is very likely QB1 for the next two years. If you want to play you're basically forced to hope he gets injured. When you've got 10 decent offers and are under pressure to cut a bunch and get down to your Top 3, it'd be really easy to see that situation and pass.

So just to be clear, if it was a road game where they got on a plane Friday afternoon for a Noon Saturday game it would be fine but not a game they are playing at home friday at night.

I don’t blame the coaches one bit! The receivers are open! Kid can’t toss the ball for crap! The defense knows this thats why we can’t run ether.. no need to play honest defense when you know the only thing we will try is run.. at least the RB likely won't turn the ball over that Rickie
