I batted .800 one season in intramural coed softball.

Doubles machine. Just legged out two baggers launching line drive lasers.

Even had an infield double. My buddy as first base coach sent me as a joke but the dude at third base threw it to the girl covering second and pulled her way off the bag.

You may be asking yourself why I share this.

It's because I'm waiting for my son to go to bed so I can go to the bathroom in peace and needed to kill some time.

My college intramural softball claim to fame at SU was we were playing at the women’s building field, and I hit one over the fence (by the street that goes into campus, maybe Euclid) and it bounced of the street and onto the porch of the house on the other side. (I spent the rest of the game hitting right handed trying to hit one into the tennis courts so I could say I homered from both sides of the plate).
We won the school championship, but we had a work class skier (US ski team alternate) in CF and a NCAA D-1/ minor league baseball player at SS on our team, so I had little to do with it.

The HR was left handed. I hit left handed, threw right handed. I could always hit the ball a long way, left handed.
I made an out once or twice playing on Coyne field by hitting too far into right field. ( Weird field configuration and rules for the short outfield, which was always right field.)

Have we thought about the possibility that he’s better than his mentor, Jayden Daniels? If not, why not? He can just go off this year. I think about that often.
