You’re saying he was paid $300k???Or ten.

Yeah I do. I want our guys to succeed. Some of you guys are pretty freaking miserable. You don’t know anything about his background, his upbringing etc. it’s hard to watch a guy not fulfill his promise and if you don’t think it chews these kids up well I don’t know what to tell you. But I guess you have the right to be a basement keyboard warriorReally? Good lord. The dude is 20 friggin years old and probably was told his 'whole life' how great he was, and pampered along the way to boot. Got a boat load of coin to come to SU and now at the ripe old age of 20, his "life dreams" got smacked by that thing called...life. Hope he finds his way some day.
I’m not crying. I feel for the kid. Starting q is the loneliest position. A month or so ago you guys were all clamoring for Rickie over Stevei stopped my crying when the players starting cashing the checks. fair game i say.
Fran isn't the guy? Or Rickie?
It's weird.I'm sure some people here like to see these kids fail now, under the guise of "they're making money now so I can treat them like trash".
Rickie's not good enough but seems personal for some.
Who wants to see him fail... Dumbest take ever. We all wanted him to succeed when Angeli went down, unfortunately it's been awful.I'm sure some people here like to see these kids fail now, under the guise of "they're making money now so I can treat them like trash".

That isn't what he's saying.Who wants to see him fail... Dumbest take ever. We all wanted him to succeed when Angeli went down, unfortunately it's been awful.
He literally says some people like to see the players fail to trash them. It's a dumb take. Everyone would be loving Rickie if he was killing it. Everyones frustrated, no one prefers watching failure, it's frustration over terrible play. It's a results business, everyone's favorite players are the ones who made SU a success, no ones actively rooting against success. At this point Rickie is the biggest culprit holding the team back, no one's rooting for failure, it's literally a brain rot take. That isn't what he's saying.

I feel as though we have said the future is bright for the last 20 yearsJust watched the game. I don't like to see any of our guys fail even the ones who transfer.
I certainly hope I am wrong but Collins is a real mystery. Its one thing to stare down your first receiver its another thing to be way off target when he is open. The out pass interception was shockingly bad. Not pressured wide open receiver and the ball was several yards behind the target.
This doesn't seem like a young QB who needs the game to slow down to him. Seems like much more. Very depressing.
I don't envy Fran and I won't second guess him. He may be in a no win position.
Coordinators don't forget how to game plan and how to call plays - not when they are as good as Nixon. But when you have little to work with this is the result.
The freshmen are big and talented Agnelli is the real deal. The future is bright. Just have to be patient.

Seems as if there is a lot of that going around and not just aimed at Rickie.I'm sure some people here like to see these kids fail now, under the guise of "they're making money now so I can treat them like trash".
Rickie's not good enough but seems personal for some.
But now that he's not killing it, people ARE getting personal on the players. I can understand boos in the Dome out of frustration. But people saying that he gets paid now so I can say what I want about him is a bit sad.He literally says some people like to see the players fail to trash them. It's a dumb take. I'm sure he feels bad enough letting his team down, before having to go on social media and see the hate.
Remember when some of us were worried about losing Jakari Williams? What’s going on there?I don’t blame Rickie for any of this, Rickie is taking the brunt of it but it’s really not his fault. I blame Fran 100%. He owns it. It’s overpromising and underdelivering 101. You can’t be a serious program and only have 1 capable player at the most important position on the depth chart. And I don’t mean by capable Angeli 1 and Angeli 1A. I mean a second guy that can game manage and not lose us games.
If Rickie isn’t capable of at least being that guy, then he shouldn’t have been here to begin with. And if it was a bad sale of goods (say Rickie oversold himself or whatever), then that should have been detected early and every effort to get Luke Carney in position to be that guy should have been made. This looks like romper room right now.
Fran said something like “boo me, not Rickie.” That’s essentially what was happening. Most fans are booing the fact that the coach is not trying another quarterback and the same thing keeps happening.I don’t blame Rickie for any of this, Rickie is taking the brunt of it but it’s really not his fault. Carney looked like he would be little in a pee wee football game he didn’t look more than 5’ 8” a buck 50. He looked like he’d get killed out there if he played more than a few seriesPlease start Carney next week, our offense is unwatchable. Best defensive effort we have had since Fran got here and we pissed it away with a dumpster fire QB looking just as hideous as he did the last two weeks. One TD until garbage time and that TD was an 11 yard drive
Right. Just the season... The world is not at an end.

Yea idiots say stuff on Twitter. They've been doing it for years, but there was literally nobody rooting for Rickie to fail, he failed and people are idiots, but I stand by no one rooted for failure so they could say stupid stuff online. But now that he's not killing it, people ARE getting personal on the players. Looks are deceiving when standing next to a big lineman.Carney looked like he would be little in a pee wee football game he didn’t look more than 5’ 8” a buck 50. He looked like he’d get killed out there if he played more than a few series
